French Camp Bed and Breakfast Inn

I hesitate to review this place, b/c I don't want more people to know how awesome it is and make bookings more difficult!! Seriously a little oasis off the Natchez Trace Parkway that CAN NOT be passed up. It is southern charm at its finest. The restaurant is life changing. Seriously, I did not have a bad meal. The broccoli salad, potato soup and burger with egg on it were amazing. The dessert is so fantastic too. There was a seasonal sweet potato cake that made my night! You must have this experience at least once in your lifetime.

French Camp, located right off the Natchez Trace Parkway, was a wonderful experience. The room, though small and simple, was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and filling. We also enjoyed dinner at the Council House and it was very tasty. The small gift shop had several unique gifts, particularly the pottery items made by the Academy children. We also visited the wonderful store across from the restaurant which sold many, many nice items, the thrift store across the street and the Welcome Center which sold fresh baked goods made in site. The staff at all locations could not have been more friendly or helpful, but more importantly a portion of the sales from all sales go to support the Christian home and school for children. Well worth a stop off the Trace!

This was our second time back. We were able to stay a little longer and really enjoy the cabin. My wife and I have fallen in love with the area. Monica was super friendly and served wonderful breakfasts! No TV, no problem! Very peaceful and quiet. The cabin we stayed in was very comfortable and homey. I honestly can’t wait to go back!

One of my favorite stops along the nachez trace on the bike good close to halfway point and lucky enough to get a room great breakfast too. !!
