Best Western Plus The Charles Hotel

First of all, MELISSA, is a total sweetheart & helped me out a few times. She was very nice.nThe jacuzzi tub was super clean & powerful jets.nThe bed was SUPER COMFORTABLE!!nThey have a cool tv remote where the buttons are very cleanable. I liked that.nBreakfast was just what we needed, danishes, hot water for my personal coffee press, healthy yogurt & fresh milk.nnWill stay here again!

As always the room was clean, organized, quiet, spacious and welcoming. The staff were amazing, made you feel welcome from check-in to breakfast to check-out. I was very pleased.

We had set up a room block for our studio to stay here on a competition weekend. The rooms were dirty, people were smoking in the hallways of the hotel, and the staff did nothing about it. No luggage carts were available in the lobby, they were just randomly left on floors all over the hotel. Some of the parents checked in late at night, the staff working had no clue how to look up anything in the computer and just gave out random room keys. They also stood in line for almost 20 minutes to check in at 11:30 p.m. which is unacceptable. One room given had the door propped open and reeked of smoke. The atmosphere was NOT family friendly. I would NOT stay here again, several of us actually left and went to a different hotel. The pictures online are very deceiving.

So been here an hour and a half. The refrigerator ISN'T clean and had mold and used plastic forks. The ceiling is quite literally falling in. The paint and popcorn coating is falling off. There was a LIVE Cockroach found crawling around on the carpet. WiFi is not working. And I had to ask the front desk lady to ask the people smoking pot to take it outside. Maybe more to come. Oh, and PS. This whole hotel was remodeled in 2018.

Front desk helpful no complaints!nRooms have a distinct odor to them, doors don’t fully close, did not want to walk around in room barefoot. Would rather pay the money to stay at clean hotel.
