We stayed one night at the White Swan Tavern, and enjoyed it very much. My wife thought the afternoon tea was excellent. My only suggestion would be to serve a improved breakfast. Cold cereal, yogurt and an apple turnover was less than most B&B's serve.
This is a wonderful historic inn from the 1700’s. It’s not super high end from the standpoint of bedding and bathrooms, but it is extremely charming and really authentic. You feel the history in every room. It would be a fantastic place to rent out for a group. I love staying at this inn and have spent many nights here over the years.
Fabulous room (we stayed in the Summer Kitchen). Staff welcoming and helpful. Felt like I had a piece of history. Great place. Highly recommended.
A neat place to have tea while chatting with the hostess. I'll return everytime I'm in Chestertown!
Great atmosphere. Beautiful accommodations. Great location near the river and nice restaurants.
