Holiday Inn Express Covington-Madisonville

Very clean comfortable rooms. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone that is looking for a nice place to stay on the north shore that won't brake your wallet.

We stayed on a Sunday night, just one night. The staff was all super friendly. The room was clean. Breakfast was hotel breakfast...a few hot items, cereal, fresh fruit, muffins, etc. Each bed had 4 pillows and that was nice. The bathroom in our room was one of the cleanest hotel bathrooms I've seen so kudos to housekeeping. The only issues we had were: no bath towels in our room at all, only hand towels and wash cloths. And there was a guy that appeared to be on drugs out front haggling us for money or a ride somewhere. We have 2 small children so that was definitely not cool but the young lady at the front desk said she would call the police.

Refrigerator smell like sour milk. Bath tub was nasty. Soap dispenser was full of God knows what hair and look like no one had filled or clean the dispenser area. Late at night and not knowing area didn't leave. Had not slept and I want to speak to a manager and was told with attitude to add to insult that it was not business hours. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER

Clean. Plenty of breakfast. It was nice not having to wear masks. I saw all the employees not wearing masks despite all the signs stating there was a state mandate in place, so I went to the front desk and asked if we had to wear masks. He was not wearing a mask and said it was at my discretion. It was nice to walk around freely. ud83dudc4d

We stayed here for one night because we were attending a wedding at The Louisiana Castle. Our room was a suite. Check-in was a breeze. The lady at the front desk was really sweet. The Halloween decor was cute. The breakfast biscuits were awesome! There are lots of stores nearby such as Ross, Belk, and Target. I would definitely stay here again.
