The room was clean, updated, staff was friendly and accommodating and we were safe and sound. We will stay here again!

Bigger rooms than motel 6, better qualify bedding than motel 6, average with other features.

Not the type of place to take the kids when you want to get away. People loitering, panhandling, and anything else they could do for a buck.

For a super-low-price hotel, this place is not bad. I stayed here for one night in Feb. 2020 during Mardi Gras, and my friends stayed in another room at the Olivia for 3 nights. Normally I stay in Super 8 motels or Hampton Inns, costing $75 to $120 per night. But on this trip, our group wanted cheaper accommodations. We paid about $55 for a room with one bed, and $65 for a room with 2 beds. We slept well and we felt the place was okay. No free breakfast, but Waffle House is across the street and other restaurants and convenience stores are adjacent. This hotel does not attract a classy crowd or an upscale clientele. But we did not feel scared or threatened, and for us, it worked, and it served its purpose. Staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately you need their help just to unlock the 2nd lock on the door to the room, upon first arrival. My room smelled like cigarette smoke when I arrived, but I opened the window and later, there was no noticeable odor. I would not stay here again in the future, unless I was with these same friends again, needing a cheaper place to stay.
