Motel 6 Oakdale, LA

Not fancy but is clean and a nice place to stay for the price...better than the country inn down the road. Will be staying here during the hunting season.

There's a bunch of reasons not to get a room here. Start with the little things, tv has busted speaker so all i heard was static. Big water bugs in room. A friend had a mouse in his room. Moldy carpet. Stained bathtubs. Now the big reasons. Stuff stolen out of my room and drug dealers came knocking on our doors and other people's as well at 2 am looking for someone and even tried giving a description of the person. So glad I didn't fit that description.

I stayed for a week and I loved it! No one bothered me they treated me with respect no complaints at all!!

They have new carpet since I was there last. And next to it there is a donut shop. ud83dudc4d

Its a motel 6...nWhat else can you say? Is not a 5 stars hotel. It is an ok place to spend the night if needed of rest asap while passing thru here but a long stay might not be too enjoyable. The internet is good though. But the rooms itself are not that great, some cleaning needs to be done, not just what is normally visible but all around. I found lots of dust behind and under the bed, as well as behind the fridge and under the table, by the corners of the walls... clearly indicating it may have been quite some years since they last cleaned there. Also the fire alarm was not working and the issue was not fixed, i was only told to unplug the fire alarm and they would fix it the next morning which did not happen in the following morning or the one after so once i left it probably still not working and has no battery.nAlso... no ironing machine, just FYI in case you were going to need one, there’s none.nnI have been to better and worst hotels so, overall this one still gets a 3 stars because even when it was not very clean and had some issues with the smoke detector, it wasn’t too bad for the place it is located... probably the best hotel in town, so you can imagine how the other options are.
