Paradise Lakes

After living here in Paradise Lakes for several years I decided now was the time to leave a fair review. When my family first moved out here we encountered a high turn over of management that continued on for several years. Nothing was consistent not the rules, or management. We had such a high turnover of residents as well. Along with this turnover came drugs, and problem tenants. Definitely not Paradise. Move forward to around 2018 when Jackie Cruz, our current manager came on board. She was met with a challenge, not just with trying to clean this place up but with the folks that have lived here from the beginning who felt they could still run the show and call the shots. I must say Jackie never backed down! She had plans to clean this place up and that is exactly what she is continuing to do. It has not been easy but she has been up for the challenge from the beginning. She will no longer tolerate people living like slobs and keeping patios, carports and yards looking like trash! She has no tolerance for drug use and will evict you immediately if a resident is involved in drugs. Rules are in place for a reason and are being enforced. She works hard for her residents, she gets out with her staff and pulls weeds right along side with them and does her best to make this a nice neighborhood to live in!nnIf we can now get speed bumps in this park like they have in the other YES Community parks that would be great. Speeding is a serious problem out here. We are an all age community and with so many children riding bikes, scooters and families walking, we would definitely benefit from speed bumps to lower the speed out here.

It's a beautiful home in a wonderful community. My family absolutely loves this place.

WE just moved to the mulberry location. We specifically asked prior to purchasing our home about parking since we have 4 drivers. We were ensured there was plenty of overflow parking. It was no issue for my sons to find overflow parking in the 7pm to 7am parking. We get a notice on 9/25/20 stuck in our door, overflow parking is taken away. Our lot can accommodate two drivers? I called and spoke to the manager her solution to park by pool. 530 pm there are no slots available 10 parking slots? So 100 families competing for 10 slots really? I wish I did not buy. I will steer anyone that asks away. The manager has not responded to my calls or provided a solution. I was told to provide a sketch of prospective parking at my little lot to add concrete at my expense. I shouldn't have to spend 3000.00 to add parking.nnIn the statues as well a 30 day notice should have been provided not 5 days. Im looking to purchase property to move my manufactured home elsewhere another added expense. I feel yes community is so unjustified to make havoc like this for families.

Well kept and clean, nice staff they are very helpful

It's going on 4 months now we were told we would get a storage building. Jackie told us not to buy one, they would provide (denies now but I have the email). Asked last week if there was any word on one and she said no, yet one put in is getting one right away. So here I am, military disabled and retired, having to pay 1512 for a small home with no storage. This home has 6 steps to get in and my wife is in a wheelchair, so imagine that one. We intended to buy and she told us homes come open all the time and it has used what savings we had to buy to pay a storage fee of 300 a month. One is open next door now, larger than this one by far and renting for 200 less a month than we pay, plus has only 2 steps to go in and a storage room.....were we notified? Of course not. It's personal with her, we had to go to corporate to get a stove that worked so now she does absolutely nothing. We have gone so far in trying to clean the park up (some homes and lots are awful) that we offered our weedeater to people who don't have one. It shouldn't be a constant battle to get what we were promised and now may have to go the legal route to recoup what it cost to move in here. When we called corporate, she said don't go through them anymore, go through her....well that hasn't worked so what's the option? We attempted the regional manager who absolutely ignored us. You'd think corporate would clean this place up and put a stop to the childishness. Who treats handicapped seniors this way?
