Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Orlando Lake Buena Vista

I arrived at the hotel a little earlier than usual. The receptionist advised me check in wasn’t until 3pm. Ok, I waited in the lobby. The hotel was nothing like I expected it to look. Definitely needs an upgrade. Reminds me of a motel. As, my daughter and I continue to wait, a woman walked in with her daughter and was told “normally check in us at 3pm but I’ll check you in.” I instantly became furious. We had an early flight and was tired. So, I approached the counter about the situation and ask why did she get a room right away and we didn’t. At that point I didn’t want to stay there I just wanted a refund. The manager came and said she would give me half off the first night and get me a room immediately. Again, the hotel was not was Marriott known for. I had one face and one dry off towel. The next night I went to purchase a drink from the market and the receptionist didn’t even acknowledge me. She kept talking on the phone and that point I just left the drink on the counter. The day that it was time to check out housekeeping came into my room twice before 12pm checkout. Waking me up. I felt like they were rushing me to get out but where was this persistence when I was checking in and had to wait with my daughter 2 hours in the lobby and would have been longer of I didn’t approach to say anything. I know I will never stay at this hotel ever again when in Orlando. The motel nasty vibes are not for me.

We had never stayed off property for Disney before, and boy, we are never going back to on property again!!!!! This hotel identifies itself as a good neighbor hotel, but doesn’t have the parking and resort fees the other ones do. Why you ask? Because it’s not really a good neighbor hotel. You cannot link your Disney reservation to the account. The reason those other hotels charge a resort fee and parking covers the fee they have to pay Disney to be a good neighbor hotel. With no fast passes or anything worth being an on property guest at Disney, this stay was PERFECT!!!!! Staff could not be nicer, hotel was VERY clean, and the location is IDEAL! We will 100% be staying here again.

Enjoyed our stay. Room was nice and spacious. We didn't appreciate that we couldn't get the continental breakfast advertised on their website. Staff was nice and courteous though. And, everything was clean and sanitary. They were sure to enforce safety for everyone during this covid pandemic. I would stay again. The Inn is centrally located to all sorts of attractions.

Best value for the time spent there. Clean!nMid 2 digit cost at this time and a room with bunk beds would be great if you have family.nLocation was great if you needed to order food, drug store, coffee, etc.. During Covid it was easy access to things. Once this goes away, I can see how if it gets busy, you may not like it as I did.

Stay away. I booked and paid in advance for a guaranteed room, I called the day before to confirm, and I called after I got off the airplane because we had a late flight… When we got to the hotel they had said they overbooked and gave away our room. The front desk representative said “ it happens all the time, it’s common”!! They sent us to a sister hotel and after waiting in line (5 people ahead of us) they had no room for us. They sent us back to the original hotel and the miraculously had a room but they wanted to let me know that because they were giving us this room that another family would be put out. It was going on midnight so we took the room which was old and not very clean. I would never use a Marriott hotel again. It’s close to Disney but it was maybe 2 stars. The parking was awful too. The clerk said here is your parking pass but you may have trouble finding a spot?!!? Why would anyone stay here????
