Nice room for the price. Pretty view of the bay. Very friendly staff, especially Brooklyn at the front desk! Breakfast as to be expected in the COVID world. (Packaged to go, basic continental, packaged by staff upon request) Small park within walking distance, few restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay again!
I decided to give 2 stars because there are some places that are A LOT worse, but if I went off of my personal experience it would be 0. First, the room looked nothing like the photo online. You could tell they have remodeled recently but if you take a closer look there are a bunch of thing that could have been done better or just weren’t done at all (chips in the paint, floor molding not attached, poorly thought out arrangement). Second, I had to ask for fresh towels twice and they still were not brought to us and due to that we had to use our beach towels after taking showers, showers that resulted in water all over the bathroom floor because the shower curtain was too short and us almost slipping in the bathroom. Third, if you get a lower level room beware. We could hear EVERYTHING from the room above us, and I mean everything; talking, walking, dropping things, you name it.
We arrived at Quality Inn to celebrate my wife and my first wedding anniversary. We traveled the beach to make our anniversary special. We checked into the inn and was met with a rather rude welcome from the staff there but no worry we work in the service industry and we overlooked. We entered our room and there was a light out in the room the cleaning ladies were not quite done cleaning as the walked out of the room as we walked in. Dropping a master card key for the whole hotel on the way. Our bathroom had a dirty towel left in it and our sink was loose from the cabinet. Our security door to the parking lot was broken. Needless to stay was short and we promptly checked out asking for a refund and we were treated quite rudely. How can we stay in a hotel where the entire floor has a broken door on it and dirty room to greet it’s guest we felt quite unsafe.
Not bad for a quick stay but quality wasn't great. Showers were super slippery with no grip. There's no sound proofing in the hallways so any door closing or talking sounds super loud from your room which makes it hard to sleep. Only gave us two towels even though we had a three person reservation. There was a weird towel hanging from the ceiling in our room that we were too scared to investigate further. Someone a few doors down kept smoking weed on the balcony which isn't the hotels fault but even after multiple people reported it they did very little to try and stop it despite them being out there for hours at a time. Again if you're looking for a quick stop on a trip it's not a bad hotel but for an extended stay it might not be the best choice.
This was my second (and last) stay at this hotel. This time was very different from the last. The hotel reeked of weed. I had to clean the bathroom and ask for towels the first night of my stay. The guest next to me played the TV all night, and it was extremely loud. I could hear conversations/laughter from the two rooms I was between and from people in the hallway. The guest above me seemed to be moving furniture around midnight. The towels were washed but appeared dingy. I was awakened in the middle of the night from the beeping of the smoke detector; it took the receptionist almost an hour to replace the battery. It still beeped, so he took it with him and said maintenance will replace it tomorrow (still isn't replaced). The receptionist on the afternoon shift needs customer service training. Ugh....very disappointing stay.
