Herlong Mansion

We stayed three nights at the Herlong Mansion in late January and used it as a base to explore the area and kayak various Florida springs. Was a wonderful time, spent evenings on the front porch playing scrabble, and reading about the area. Breakfasts served were outstanding. Great quiet spot to go and recharge your system and to get away from throngs of people. Katherine, the host was so helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended.

Herlong Mansion is beautiful! My husband and I stayed a night there this weekend and we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, and offers a complimentary glass of wine at check-in as well as warm cookies before bed.nnWe had to leave early, before breakfast starts, and the kitchen whipped us up something to go. Really accommodating!nnWe stayed in the Iris room and it was lovely. Super well decorated and clean. The highlight was the huge, in suite, two person tub. Can’t say enough good things about that!nnThe town is pretty sleepy, but that only adds to the peace of the property. If you are looking for more to do, Herlong is only a 20 minute drive to Gainesville.nnI would definitely stay at Herlong Mansion again!

This mansion is beautiful and well kept. It provides a relaxing and peaceful getaway. The breakfast is delicious. The entire vibe of it is fantastic and I can’t wait to return. The staff is so kind and helpful as well. It really is a magical place and worth a visit.

I have stayed here several times and I absolutely love it. It's a great place to relax. The rooms are all each individually unique and amazing in their own beautiful way. The home is full of rich history located in a old relaxing beautiful Florida town. It is close proximity to tons of antiquing, shopping, museums and some great restaurants. It is a great place to just relax sit out drink wine have a cup of coffee hot tea or cocoa. It's perfect for a romantic weekend as I've been several times with my husband and now I got to stay a weekend with my dear friend couldn't recommend it more. Clean comfortable

This place is stunning!! Takes you back to “old Florida” The staff was so nice and helpful, rooms were clean and ambiance was perfect. Great place for beautiful pictures as the whole property is gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious and fresh cookies to end your night.
