I wish that I would have seen these reviews prior to ordering carpet and tile through Home Depot. Unfortunately I just looked at the store’s reviews overall, thus I will copy this review with HD Services, HD Delafield and Crew2. (Crew2 is the 2nd party that hires the third party - the actual installers). I strongly encourage you to buy your flooring elsewhere. We ordered whole home carpet and tile for two bathrooms. HD told us we would be 2-3 weeks out. After leaving the store that day, everything went downhill from there. Enter Crew2. Very minimal effort was made by Crew2 to contact us. And there is awful communication between their departments one handling carpet and the other handling tile. Our first call was from HD asking me to pick up our tile from the store which prompted me to ask why Crew2 hadn’t called yet. They put me in touch with my rep at Crew2 and I was told they had to do tile before carpet. They’d schedule tile install. Several weeks went by. When I would call my Crew2 rep, she wouldn’t be available. And when she called back, she wouldn’t leave a message. She laughed when I told her HD told me 2-3 weeks. Said it would be 6-8 weeks. Again, that wasn’t even accurate. After many calls to Crew2 and HD, some told me she was fired and some told me she quit. I was assigned a new Crew2 rep and was assured I’d be taken care of quickly. Again, didn’t happen. After having to lean on HD many times, they eventually pushed enough to get Crew2 to schedule tile...and then they could schedule carpet. One week after all had been scheduled, I received a call from my new Crew2 rep saying he was sorry but they were going to have to reschedule. I called HD back. As I was tired of being jerked around so much I wanted to cancel my tile install and requested a refund, which they actually accommodated that request. I no longer trusted Crew2 and would be ok with them doing the carpet, and it should be easier to cancel the tile versus carpet. Unfortunately it could not be done over the phone since I used a debit card instead of their HD card. But no big deal, I would stop at the store after work to process the refund... After an hour and 15 minutes with customer service being on the phone with HD’s IT support desk, they finally figured out how to refund me for the tile. Unbelievable. Carpet has finally been installed and it is fine, but there again I was told at HD at the time of purchase not to worry about moving furniture, Crew2 took care of all of it. Wrong again. I had to scramble at the last minute disassembling beds when the crew showed up to install the carpet. DO NOT go to Home Depot for any type of flooring install! In hindsight, I would have happily spent a little more to go with someone local. And shame on me for thinking this was the best route for speed and moving into a new house.
