Hampton Inn Elkhorn Lake Geneva Area

We requested a handicap accessible room with the booking agency, they said they noted in our booking. I called the Elkhorn Hampton to confirm the booking and note.nnElkhorn confirmed the booking but there was no note. They said no worries, they'll note that we need a handicap room.nnWe get there after a long day at a funeral and thunderstorm only to find out the room booked for us was not handicap.nnPerson said all 4 handicap rooms were out of service due to a mechanical window covering not working.nnPerson said if were ok with taking one of those rooms he could give us a discount.nnWe needed and booked a handicap room we weren't too concerned about whether the curtains work. We just need some sleep and a place to wash up.nnThe clerk changed the room for which thanked him, and also inquired about the discount the mentioned. He said, oh, it would only be a about a .30cent savings. Really? Why did you even mention it then.nnThe bathroom was nice but it had a full size tub, not a walk-in or roll-in shower. Nor did it have a shower chair.nnI asked the clerk for a shower chair and got a plastic step ladder. He said they don't have any shower chairs. I could have helped my wife into a shower chair if there was one. Instead my wife had to sit on the toilet to and wash and rinse with a wash rag.nnOne last thing, we brought a few bottles of water with us expecting to keep them cold in the small fridge. Only problem was there was no fridge in the room.nnNice place but definitely have room for improvements. Would not recommend for anyone who is in a wheelchair.

Considering everything that's going on right now, I had a very pleasant stay. The service was friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable. If I had a complaint, it would be the breakfast. There was some coffee and a couple of boxes of dry cereal. I was surprised they didn't at least have some fruit, couple of bananas and apples. Other than that, a very pleasant stay

Ultra clean. Very friendly, helpful staff. For covid control, rooms are cleaned and sealed. Maid service is by request only. No problem getting new towels, more coffee.

Cindy that works at the front desk is absolutely amazing. Made our stay here over the moon!!! You have a keeper. She needs a bonus during this crazy time. She is an ESSENTIAL worker.

Great and clean hotel. Great prices and atmosphere.
