Jackson's Lakeside Cottages

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Jackson's, and we hope to return next year.nnCABINS:nThere are three generations of cabins, and my family rented one from each. We stayed in Hammond (the newest), Memories, and Idle Hour (the oldest).nnThe kitchens are fully stocked with a skillet, sauce pans, sheet pans, can opener, eating and serving utensils, plates, bowls, mugs, drinking glasses, ice trays, cutting boards, and knives. For appliances, there is a propane gas stove, full-sized refrigerator, toaster, and coffee pot with filters. The Hammond has a dishwasher. We brought our own bed linens, towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and dish soap.nnEach cabin has a lovely screened-in porch. They also come with a charcoal Weber grill and picnic tables.nnOverall, I am very pleased with the cabins. My only suggestion for improvement would be for the resort to increase the lighting in Idle Hour. The lighting is very dark inside, and some extra lamps would help to brighten the rooms. The other cabins did not have an issue with lighting.nnPROPERTY:nThe resort has two fire pits - one by the lake and one at the back of the cabins. The firewood is provided. The fire pit near the lake is my favorite place on the property! The fire pit is surrounded by very comfortable seating, and there are outlets nearby if needed.nnThe resort also has a playground and a large field where deer gather at dusk every evening.nnBoats are available for rent, and the Jacksons also provide life vests and pool noodles (free of charge!) in the shed near the lake.nnOverall, the property is lovely. The many trees are great for hanging camping hammocks. The path down to the lake is too steep for my grandma to walk, but luckily, there is a dirt road that leds directly to the fire pit and piers.nnCELL RECEPTION AND WIFI:nWe had some trouble getting cell phone reception. The nearest cell tower is AT&T. The Jackson’s Lodge has WiFi which reaches (weakly) to the Hammond.nnPETS:nThe resort is dog-friendly. There are some friendly dogs that live on the resort that happily roam around during the day.nnOTHER:nWe love that the resort is near Eagle River, where we enjoy gift shopping. There is also a nearby Sentry Foods grocery store in St. Germain.nnCONCLUSION:nWe loved our vacation at Jackson’s and would highly recommend it as a family-friendly vacation spot.

Clean and comfortable, and what a beautiful Northwoods setting! Fun place to bond as a family. Good fishing!

Be the greatest time you ever had and it would be the greatest place to take a vacation this year like some people have been doing it for over 50 years they're unbelievable

The cabin was amazing! Great view of the lake, nice beach area and lakefront for the kids to play in. Nicely close to town but not close enough to have to deal with all that commotion. Very excited to be back next year.
