Rich was super easy to deal with in getting our mountain bikes rented and delivered to the WinMan trails the week of deer opening weekend. Rates were super fair and it was a hassle free afternoon for four guys from out of town. Will definitely be utilizing Coontail in the future when we return for some summer riding.

We stopped by during an area camping trip and found plenty of options, including e-bikes, along with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The area trails are gorgeous with choices between either hilly or mostly flat terrain and with towns at the end of each for a pit stop and bite to eat. We’ll definitely be back for a longer ride. Thanks for the great experience!

My bike started to act up while on a two week trip. I took it to the only staffed shop in Manaqua on Wednesday. Sadly it wasn’t Coontail in Boulder Junction. What was probably a simple adjustment (I do have some experience wrenching bikes) turned into turning every screw and opening things up that didn’t need/shouldn’t be opened. The situation went down hill and the result was you need a whole new part. Um no, well I didn’t before I came in and you started wrenching parts you had no business doing or supporting knowledge. So I ordered them to halt and picked up my bike.nnWe arrived at CT in Boulder Junction. Austin and Rich were great. Unfortunately they were behind the 8 ball resulting from the prior shops attempt. We also discovered some small essential parts assembly were missing. Covid has put a roadblock on supply, but Austin would not give up. He scrounging around for compatible parts and contacted the manufacturer to assist in the rebuild to get me up and running.nnWhile it’s not running as it should, and needs to now be replaced, it was the effort to patch things together to get me riding that set this shop apart. Big shout out to the boys at CoonTail.

I have been blessed to com from a retail family founder member and had the privilege to work with some awesome operations team members, coontail is outstanding for their service (thank you Rich and Austin from the Boulder Junction Bike/Rental retail operations for the quick turn around of the specialized como 2.0 & 3.0 Ebikes I had tuned up and repaired! Yes these family owned business (has station full grocery, clothing retailer and bike rental repair in Boulder and Arbor Vitae ) have one of the regions largest purchasers of specialized Ebikes (love my new Vado 5.0 Specialized super lite bike and one of the first to ship in Midwest !!).nBottom line great selection of merchandise with quality and intensity (minimal outs) and pricing that surpassed my expectations!!!nThank you Steve and Lisa (Steve Jr.) Rich, Austin and team. You guys Rock!!

Staff was very helpful with both equipment and suggestions for the area. Their electric bikes were top notch and worked perfectly. Our first time in the northern midwest and we'll definitely be back... but maybe after the pandemic!
