Wood Haven Lodge was the perfect fall getaway. This was our second visit to Wood Haven this year and our first staying in the lodge. Both times, Martha and Dennis provided exceptional hospitality with the most beautifully appointed accommodations. The lodge has everything you could possibly ask for. We enjoyed the canoe and kayak, exploring the beautiful fall colors on Nelson Lake and bass fishing right off the dock. Multiple state parks are nearby with short hikes to some of the best waterfalls in Wis. At night, the Lodge features everything you need for a campfire. They also have a big screen TV/theater room for relaxing on the off chance it rains. Our family has become regulars and is already looking forward to our next stay!

We have rented the Wood Haven Lodge for 2 weeks every summer for the past 4 years. We love going back each year! We feel like it is our home away from home. The house is beautiful, well maintained and spotless. The kitchen cupboards are well stocked with everything you could imagine you might need for cooking or grilling. The house is on Nelson Lake which is a gorgeous Wisconsin lake. We love to boat, swim and see the wildlife including loons and eagles. Downtown Hayward is close by and offers everything you need including stores, nice restaurants, coffee shops and even an ice cream shop. There is a lot to do and see in the area and next year we are going to take in a Lumberjack Show! Martha and Dennis are wonderful owners who work hard keeping their two properties in excellent condition. They know the area well and can offer suggestions so you can have a wonderful vacation. You will love this property!

My wife and I stayed at the cottage this summer and then recently returned to enjoy the fall colors.nGreat place to get away from it all, a very quiet and relaxing place on the lake. The owners have the cottage well furnished and they take wonderful care of it, very clean. Martha and Dennis greeted us upon are arrival, explained how every thing worked and where items were located making it easy to begin enjoying our get away. We rented their Pontoon boat for the stay and used it to fish and take several trips around the lake.nWe surely will return to this hidden treasure.
