Upon arrival finding the main entrance was a hassle. Nothing is clearly marked for the main entrance.nnMy room keys would not work. Staff had to make new ones.nnAfter laying down and turning on heating/cooling wall unit it squealed loudly. I already checked in late and had to work at 6am. Nothing but hassles. I will most likely cancel my reservations at the end of the week and ask work to put me elsewhere.

This business does not even deserve one star. I stayed here this past weekend for a wedding, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a hotel from the very beginning from the time I booked it. First, it was extremely overpriced for all of the hassles we were having to deal with. 150$ a night after taxes, and we went through 6 room keys before we were able to get some that worked properly. Imagine stumbling in from a reception looking for a nice bed to sleep in, just for the room key to not allow you in. Instead, spent the next half hour trying to get one that worked. Several other individuals that attended the wedding and stayed for the weekend experienced the same thing. It was very difficult to get warm water for the shower as well. While booking, staff were extremely rude and dreadful to help. I had to ask several times for confirmation emails in fear that my room wouldn’t be available when I got there due to the lack of communication and professionalism. I called the day of, about an hour 1/2 early to see if my room was ready for check in, but was unable to reach any staff, not even the GM ( who was an option to call,) so I had to physically go there to check with someone. Their system stayed nobody was available at that time when trying to call that Friday of checking in. I am trying to be understandable in this pandemic, and the effects it has had on businesses, but I have never felt disappointed enough, or felt like my money was wasted to the point where I would write such a negative review. Please save yourself the hassle and do not stay here.

Rooms are great. Beds comfortable. Bathrooms tiny but doable and nice. The hallways and staircases are still a bit to be desired. Clean, just still dated. Nice service.

We had a great experience using the pool, hot tub and steam room. Great to know we can use these facilities as local residents for a small fee.

Great location, nicely located near the Dells and Devils Lake State Park, our two destinations for the Labor Day weekend. We spend two nights in Room 120, a 1BR King Suite with Jacuzzi Tub in the main room. The room was clean, and well maintained. Some cracking in the walls around the AC units in the main room and the bedroom, but I can tell they modernized and the units were smaller, so they had to adapt the holes in the walls, those types of patches can be hard to do and have them not crack. The only real down sides were the curtain in the bedroom, one half of the curtain would not draw, it was messed up. Also, despite being a smoke free hotel, someone was smoking in the bathroom and the smell really stuck around in there. It wasn't quite a 5 star experience I am afraid, but still a great place and a great value! Would recommend and will plan to stay there again next year, as we think this will be a recurring trip for my fiancé and I (by next year we will be married).
