Guardian Angel Bed and Breakfast

Very rude and disrespectful. I called to find out how much they charge and she wanted to know how much I made first. Sounds sketchy to me.

My husband and I stayed at the guardian angel bed and breakfast from June through September of 2018. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It's a must stay if you are ever in Janesville, WI. It was very spacious and had the charm of a southern mansion. The gardens around the home were beautiful.

It was a convenient place to stay while working. Owner seemed very nice. I was disappointed in a few things. When I moved in. I needed to clean mouse droppings out of the fridge and microwave. I bought traps and caught a mouse. I was working night shift and didn’t want to deal with taking it to the garbage in the garage at that time after working 10hrs. I was told snow removal was included. But when we got snow it was not removed on the stairs. I asked again and was told there a new guy and he didn’t do steps. So she gave me a shovel. Then we had the ice storm and nothing was done to clear the steps until I asked again. Then she brought a bag of salt. I was told all utilities other than electric were included. Then when I got my security deposit back or at least most of it at least. I received a copy of the bill and it had charges for gas on it. Plus she deducted cost for cleaning a piece of furniture that was damaged before I moved in. I even sent a video showing the spot like 3 day after I moved in. I had left some things in the fridge by accident. I didn’t mind her charging me for having someone clean it out. It was nothing that rotted. But I did leave it. So it was on me.nnBottom line make sure you document and take pictures of everything when you move in and sign a lease.

Wish I could give zero stars ! The lady Coral Larson is horrible. She calls you names, tries every way to squeeze money out of you. Is very untrustworthy! Carpets filthy , stove filthy. Windows broken so you won’t feel safe at all!! I would try my best to avoid her at all costs and she is the owner of this place !! Edit: since she replied let me say this, She can’t say this review is false, I’m the one who told her to check her previous google reviews because this was the reason I wanted everything she would fix in writing which she wouldn’t after The day we came to sign our lease we saw there was no garage door, no front door handle, still broken windows, all kinds of repair stuff on the lawn (doors and flooring). All these things she said would be fixed in one week when we previously came to view the place so we were going through with the unit. When we saw the condition of the place after that week, We decided to let her know that this wasn’t expectable for move in and she said she agreed and would make the repairs so we could move in July 15th. She also kept asking my fiancé to fix things before we even moved In LIKE THE FRONT DOOR HANDLE?! Like are u serious but anyways After that the date kept changing, mind you the lights and gas were already in our name because we put them in our name the morning we were suppose to sign our lease because she said she wouldn’t give us our keys if we didn’t! Once she saw we wouldn’t give her earnest money to hold the place for repairs she said would have already been done, she became very disrespectful saying things like your “delusional& I’ve never got an application from you” excuse me ? The lights are in our name. So she said we were harassing her and she never had an application from us which to me sound very delusional on her end but I’m not the one to call names. We were in need of a quiet place to stay while caring for family locally. Guardian Angel B & B was such a find. Beautiful historic home, well decorated (quite full of Victorian style decorations), with just amazing gardens. Even a small putting green!nnOur room was spacious with a king size bed, oodles of pillows, large, deep bath, and even a private entrance. We slept SO comfortably.nnOur breakfasts were a delight, customized to our dietary needs. Each one began with some sort of fresh fruit followed by a main course, coffee or tea as preferred. On our last day we had to leave early for the airport. So our hostess prepared a to-go breakfast with more than we could eat, all the utensils necessary, in a cute basket!nnHighly recommended.
