Ironworks was an incredible place to have our ceremony & reception. We heard all through the night and in following how days how beautiful everything was and how people were excited to return for their own personal events or celebrations. Tanya was exceptional in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Both the hotel and Tanya reached out to me to check in prior to the event even after being patient with virtual meetings, phone calls and email threads. The day of ran incredibly smoothly and the staff at Ironworks were incredibly professional and efficient. I very much recommend Ironworks for any future events/weddings you may have. Merrill & Houston's provided the food and appetizers and everything was wonderful. The hotel itself was wonderful as well. I will definitely be returning in the future.
We also stayed here because we read there was no masks (from other reviews) but there was not one second of our visit where someone was maskless. We stayed labor day weekend. We even had room service and visit from the front desk for more coffee, every employee was wearing a mask which was fine with me. Im reading these reviews and can't believe some people. The hotel was silent and I saw another family there checking in. Elevators were quite, heared nothing from outside. We even took a walk along the water and only heared rushing water. As far as service... we dealt with 5 different employees from front desk to restaurant /bar area and not one person had a mean bone in their body. They provided exceptional service (which i can't say the same for other places or people)... definitely will be staying here again and referring others. Judgy ppl can stay home
We were extremely displeased during our stay at this hotel, so much so we decided to leave a day early. When we first walked in we were somewhat uneasy at the number of patrons walking the lobby without masks. Given that we would not be spending much time in the space, we pushed our concerns aside. We were, after all, looking forward to enjoying the many amenities the hotel advertises. We were put off by the fact that our room, 212, was directly in front of the elevators despite repeatedly requesting a quiet room. However, the hallways seemed quiet, so we once again decided to let it pass and enjoy our weekend. We found the room itself to be basic for the price we were paying. The bathroom was utterly subpar: the tub was chipped, and mold was growing on the grout. We asked to be moved but were told there were no other rooms downtown. We had plans for dinner that night, so we decided to stay. The next day, we found out not only was our room in front of the elevators, but it was also above their party venue. A wedding was being held that violated all social distancing ordinances at the state and city level (we checked before complaining) and very lively entertainment that could clearly be heard in our room starting at noon. We finally had enough when we returned at 10 PM from dinner and it became clear that we would not be able to rest until the celebration downstairs ended, and there was no guarantee when that would be. Our complaint was met with hostility, though in the end, we prevailed and received a refund for the one night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would certainly avoid room 212.
We had the deluxe room with 2-sided fireplace and soaking tub. Very nice! The staff were super-friendly and the hotel is most dog-friendly. FYI the dog fee is per night per dog. The ambiance is calm and elegantly casual. The hotel is done in an ironworks theme done in a classy way. It is a very well run establishment with excellent attention to detail. The attached restaurant, Merrill and Houston’s, is fabulous.
Had our wedding reception here, food was great, staff was awesome, rooms were perfect. Could t ask for anything better. Highly recommend.
