I loved working with this company. Very honest people who are easy to do business with and do great work. Wife handles phones/scheduling and billing and was very professional and nice. Husband was also professional and kind. He pointed out what needed to be done and what didnt, very honest. We have used them twice and were happy both times. Wish we could find more companies like them.

Nice folks until you have a leak. The very expensive roof on my 115 year old home leaked within the first year after installation and caused $5,000 in mold and water damage to my chef's kitchen, which had been added on to the house in 2005 and had never leaked previously. It took two months for SERVPRO and Studio Kitchens (both did great work) to completely remediate the damage and restore everything to the way it was - the drywall, insulation, plaster, paint, and cabinet had to be replaced - this all happened throughout Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I had limited use of the my kitchen for much of this time, until early January. Powell repaired the roof where it had leaked and admitted that the flashing they installed was too short (also they did not replace a downspout diverter so water from the gutter had been directed right into the inadequately installed/sealed seam for many months). In the end my insurance paid all but my $1000 deductible, which I asked Powell to reimburse as the cause of the leak was improper workmanship (I have a 10-year warranty for that). After two months of unreturned phone calls and emails I finally received a response - they now claimed it was not their fault, they would not reimburse my deductible, and they did not even offer an apology for my inconvenience. This is an example of how not to run a business that relies on it's reputation and customer referrals. BTW they did work for my father-in-law and he also had a leak... Very disappointing. Many other options than this firm if you are looking for roofing companies.
