The staff at the Madison WI REI are AWESOME! They were SO patient and helped us not only try on and decide on a backpacking (we are new to it), but answered numerous questions on boots, tents, and other hiking gear.nnWe spent 2 hours in the store and every single staff member was so helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. They really know the differences between products and give great advice. I could tell they were not just trying to sell a product and get us out. I would continue to shop here just for their customer service alone, but the quality of their stuff is great as well :)
I placed an order online for pick-up and was notified that they cancelled the order since did not have the item anymore. No worries, I placed a new order for shipment to my address. Still have not received my order since they sent it to the wrong address.
