I'm relaxing in bed after spending my first night here and let me tell you, this is an absolute gem of a place. We have a basic room and it is beautiful; I love the high ceilings. The size and decor together make the room feel roomy and cozy at the same time. The staff are professional and friendly. We had an issue with the coffeemaker in our room and within minutes they delivered a brand new one to our door. The bed is quite comfortable and I was able to get a refreshing night's sleep. I am impressed with the cleaning protocol they've put in place during the pandemic. It's too long to be detailed here, but can be reviewed on the website.
This place is absolutely amazing and a hidden gem. I joked with the innkeeper on our last visit that I didn't want to tell anyone about the hotel, because I didn't want it to become too popular and lose it's appeal. Fast forward to now, and the innkeeper thanked me for my star only review on Google...if that doesn't show dedication and commitment to customers, then nothing does. Please support this independent hotel, and hopefully we can inspire other hotels to provide even a fraction of the service and experience this hotel does.
Excellent accommodations and a fabulous free breakfast to boot! If you want a true Victorian feel with great entertainment close by, this is the place! No lights out or breakfast at a certain time!

Stayed in the penthouse suite. It is the most beautiful hotel I have seen. Great staff and good too! Will be our go to Madison hotel from now on!
