Given it was a super 8 I was extremely surprised. This specific super 8 was on par with any holiday inn Express or best western hotel. Staff friendly, rooms clean and almost all services where open during the pandemic. The hotel was overall clean and looked really good. I highly recommend this hotel in this area more than any of the other ones I mentioned earlier.

Me and my family had to stay here while we were displaced due to an apartment fire and needed something cheap and close by - the price matched the service. Not only where we put into a room with an already clogged toilet and broken tv we were told we had to fix it ourselves before they offered to move us to a new room, that new room had a broken HVAC unit so we had no heat. I didnt even bring that up because the front desk employee essentially made my mom cry. (my mother was already in a highly emotional state, so I'm taking that with a grain of salt, but if you work in hospitality you shouldn't have to know a guests situation to be nice - I once worked in hospitality and being a not so hospitable person myself I found a new job because I knew I wouldnt deliver the kind of service needed to run a hotel. I'd highly recommend she do that same - she did not seem like she liked the job, which I 100% understand). To top this off the front desk workers never wore masks... during a pandemic that was alarming. Luckily the house keeping staff did, so I felt comfortable that they came into the room to clean. All in all the surrounding area isnt the best eaither but it's near by plenty of food options and they allow pets - probably the ONLY redeeming properties of this hotel.

Staff is very friendly and rooms are very clean spoke with employee at front desk Jon K. Very nice and answered all my questions with a smile and I will be coming back with family! Best place in Madison in my opinion no issues what so ever. I am very pleased with the hospitality
