I have to give this place 1 star. In which I spent 80 on this family meal. first off my food looked disgusting. I thought this place would have good food because of the reviews. My ribs tasted like it wasn't season, burnt and dry, wasn't cleaned good and just tasted like smoked on a electric smoker. The garlic mashed potatoes were to salty. The beef brisket were so shredder it looked like slop on a plate. With me spending that much i thought at least they could of gave us utensils. The only thing good in this meal was the mac and cheese. I will never order here again. Smoky Jon is a joke i called him about my order and he was very rude. He stated he'll call me back but never did. If I was you save your money or go somewhere else. To be honest I think it's the family and friends writing the reviews. Thank for nothing.
We had our first experience with Smoky Jon's while in the Madison area and knew right away we wanted them to cater our wedding. Jon was great in communicating with me via email to figure out our options, pricing, etc. We got married at a small venue outside of the Dells. The delivery was punctual and set up just as we asked. Food was hot and all utensils were provided. There was tons of food leftover for us to snack on the week after. Our family still raves about the food.
Been going here for years, so I felt I should finally do a review. The best ribs I've ever had to date in my life; amazing. The fries are awesome, the sauce is stupid good too and out of this world! People, if you've never been here....what are you waiting for?
Great food
Amazing! Hand's down the best BBQ in the city of Madison and on par with BBQ I've had at competitions in South Carolina and Texas (where I lived for 18 years) I've been coming to Smoky Jon's for 13 years since I discovered it after getting lost on my way to my new job one day. My wife and I used Smoky Jon's to cater our wedding and it was a huge hit. Everyone raved about the food. The set up was organized, timely and well priced. The portions for dine in or take out are large and the food is just incredible. Jon sells his BBQ sauce at several stores around the city and I highly encourage anyone to get some. It goes with everything. If you want great BBQ you can't go wrong here.
