Scott is wonderful. Been in business for 30 years and it's obvious why. Very knowledgeable and has a great staff as well.
Owner was extremely rude. Was excited to buy a bike from a local place down the road from me. Asked for help; the man inside said he didn’t work there but could help me. Hmmm..then 2 minutes later all of a sudden he’s the owner? Wouldn’t that mean, he works there? Asked him about sizing cause my current bike is too small and told him I knew nothing about it and needed help. Anyways...he was snarky and not helpful at all. I left and am still confused why he wouldn’t help me. Went to trek right after and bought a brand new bike. They were amazing, super helpful and sized me up with the perfect bike without being rude. Sorry I didn’t know what I needed. That’s why I was asking for help.
Walked in looking for a curved bar and after conversing with Steve I ended up getting an explanation why my project wouldn't work and how expensive it would be. Steve was kind enough to not only recommend me a great bike but also took in a used trade for a used bike which i understand is not good for business but it was in my best interest. Very good service and their puppy Charlie was the bestest boy to accompany you while you wait.
Great service. Had a tune up, tires and break change on a 15 year old Jamis Cruiser. They give 60 days free service garentee on any of the work they completed. Would highly recommend them to anyone. Will absolutely use there services again in the future.
Very disappointing. After a tune-up, promised in two weeks and delivered in five, drove home from the bike shop and the back tire was flat. Made five visits to the Cyclery -- one to get my checkbook to avoid the up-charge for credit cards, and two due to the flat tire -- the sales people were very slow to acknowledge a new customer. Every time. I suggest considering a Madison shop instead.
