Had an AMAZING 2 nights October 25-26, 2020 in this BEAUTIFUL Cave!!! For our 41st Anniversary, it was beyond perfect!! The hosts are so friendly and the added personal touches were very much appreciated!! We even had a covering of snow on the 26th made it even more perfect as it also snowed on our wedding day... I definitely recommend experiencing this Cave B&B It’s an adventure of a lifetime!!!

When we first booked the cave a month ago, the owners sent us our booking confirmation along with an offer to use a local chef to cater a dinner at the cave. Initially I looked over the menu and thought to myself, "Ehhhh, it's a bit pricey, I think I'll pass." Fast forward to the day before the were expected to arrive and myself and the family were kind of beat from a week long road-trip spanning over 4 states, and now that catered meal was looking pretty good. I reached out to the chef and he agreed to accommodate us at the last minute, so I dug thru my emails and looked over his menu selection again. Honestly, his menu had something for almost anyone's appetite. I personally recommend the Medallioned Filet Minion, the Salmon in some kind of Champaign sauce, or the Chicken and capers, yes I got to sample all of my family's dinner selections and they were wonderful! As far as side items, the group had to decide on a choice of I think 1 starch and 2 veggies, but again, he had a pretty good selection for us so it was easy. Getting to the cave by ourselves would have been almost impossible, so the owners contracted with a local gentleman named Tommy to guide us in. Tommy asked us to reach out to him shortly before we arrived and then he met us at a nearby church. From there we followed him a couple miles on both paved and unpaved roads. When we got to our location to park for the night, Tommy gave us all instructions on what to do, what to expect, and do's and don't for the cave. Next we grabbed our bags and headed down to the cave! Tommy took several of our bags himself because I was assisting my 70+ year old mother down the rather steep pathway to the cave. Don't ask me how, but I got my mom down to the cave without incident. Tommy also gave us a small geology lesson as we descended down to the cave's entrance. When we opened the sliding glass door, the cave was like nothing we could have imagined, the pictures on google really don't do it justice. It had, a large flat-screen tv, Wi-Fi, Siri controlled music throughout the entire place, it had a one touch lighting button that turned everything on or off, we had a refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, rock faced shower and jacuzzi tub, toilet, comfy bed and a lot more!!! The owners can containers of cat food and and birdy seed, which we could put out to encourage local wildlife to visit. So back to talking about dinner, it was backpacked in by Tommy just before we arrived and there was simple reheating instructions to ensure the meal was perfect and truly, it was. We all dished up our individual meals and went out of the patio to enjoy our sunset meal. There's nothing like a bottle of wine, wonderful meal prepared by a chef, and a sunset to end an amazing day. The rest of the night we listened to music, played games and watched the stars, although it gets cold outside pretty quick after the sun goes down. The next morning we enjoyed coffee, pastries and yogurt that the owners had provided for us. Honestly, there's a ton of stuff they had to nibble on if you got hungry. To end our experience there I decided to break out my drone (DJI Spark) to capture the perfect picture from far off the cliffs of me and my whole family . I sat at the table, turned everything on and whoosh, there went my drone into the air. The down side was, 5 seconds after it when over the cliff my drone shut off and plummeted to the ground below. With no obvious way to retrieve it, I packed up and left with my chin on my chest. Amazingly, I got a call me Tommy and the owners 2 days later telling me they had retrieved my drone and that it didn't look too banged up. These guys really went above and beyond!!! If anyone is curious about Kokopelli Cave I say do it, it's awesome!!!! Btw, there's a tradition that's also done when you stay there, you find the perfect rock, color it and then find a place to put it. There are 100's of rocks that are colored throughout the cave, see if you can find ours!!!
