We stayed here two nights on a little weekend getaway. We got to stay in the Bungalow, which was amazing. They are two-unit buildings just a half-mile away from the Inn itself. It's maybe about 500 sq ft with a bed, beautiful bathroom (clawfoot tub, huge walk-in shower) and a dining/kitchenette area. There's even a little fire pit out back you can use. You're just a quick drive from town (couple minutes) and the accommodations are just perfect. We had two to-go meals at the Pub which were great (had the pub burger and the Island Veggie burger, which I thought was better). I think we paid maybe around $230/night which I thought was well worth it!

We checked into our ”king suite” Friday night after a long drive to Wisconsin and a ferry ride. We got into our room and at first everything was great. Then the problems started... We missed an email about ”bringing our own comforter” and so the bed had a thin blanket and 2 sheets. Okay, we can live with that. Then more problems reveal them selves. The room has living and dead bugs in the corners, the bed is probably 10 years old and has dents in it from other people sleeping there, the hardware in the unit is dated and worn. The biggest thing was that we had no air conditioning in our room after fumbling with this ancient mini split they have set up. It was 75+ degrees in our room all night long. MISERABLE. They have this “EMERGENCY line” that we did not call because, the a/c definitely has mechanical issues and the likelihood of a maintenance man remedying that in the middle of the night are slim to none. I feel like for $305 a night these problems shouldn’t even exist with a climate control system. We were called by a manager after we told the front desk woman this morning that we were checking out. She offered us a blanket but, couldn’t move us to a different room with proper A/C. Bye. You can tell the owner of this inn is cheap as when we awoke to go to breakfast the lights were off in the hallways. ud83dude44The woman who called us really should take a different approach with customer service as we were made to feel like all of this is just standard and basically we were SOL. She also cut my husband off multiple times on the phone and was just plain rude.nnI wouldn’t be writing this review if the manager wasn’t so rude to us on the phone but, that was just icing on the cake to not getting a refund and being told this was basically “our fault because we didn’t give them an opportunity to remedy the situation”. Once again, motel 6s have working a/c and I feel like the guests shouldn’t have to be the ones who find out that it doesn’t work. Also they’re less money.ud83dude09

I’d love to give it 5 stars but we had quite a few issues. We stayed in one of the brand new bungalows, which was lovely but not without its problems. The fireplace was not actually hooked up so it couldn’t be used, but we weren’t told that until we asked about how to get it to operate. The hot/cold faucets on the beautiful new tub were plumbed backwards. The pocket door on the bathroom couldn’t be closed all the way without it coming off its track and trapping the occupant. We chose this resort as it was pet friendly, upon our return from a day exploring the island both of our room keys were deactivated. We tried to call the resort and got voice mail (keeping in mind my dogs were locked inside at this point). We drove back to the hotel reservation area at 3pm on a Sunday to find them closed completely (hours posted daily to 5pm). After calling an emergency number we met the maintenance individual back at the bungalow 20 minutes later. All in all a very frustrating and helpless situation.

Beautiful place to get away, go during the off season before winter hits

Amazing views. Best wine selection in the island. During the summer you can rent boats, jet skis, SUP boards and more at the water front. There is yoga by the pool some mornings. Great rooms and rentals located all over the island. Also has on and off site catering. Come for dinner and watch the sunset from the patio!
