Pro: the gardens are well done, with paths and art and the areas outside each little patio are beautiful, as is the view ( partially obstructed) of Lake Superior. The room was eclectic and charming. It’s located just a couple blocks outside of town. There is a patio with chairs to overlook the lake but some trees obscured views. The bathroom was beautifully redone. The room had a comfortable bed with two comfy chairs.nCons: the front row is condos, the back of the property is redone motel rooms ( large enough) with small patios. The entrance to the smaller rooms had a rear-property entry door, the garbage dumpsters were nearby so there were plenty of flies. Would be better to put a wall between.nAlso, I think it’s overpriced for the space you get.
My husband and I loved staying here! The view from our room was gorgeous, especially during the fall. The room was clean and cozy. Will definitely stay here again next time we come to town.
Very quaint and quiet place to stay. Overlooks Lake Superior, as long as you have a lakeside view and a room that’s higher up. There are chairs outside the room to enjoy the gardens which adds an extra special touch. Just bring bug spray because it can get buggy at night. It was clean. The only reason I don’t give this an excellent is that the bed was a little worn in. We still got a good sleep regardless. We would definitely stay again!
The view is absolutely amazing! We really enjoyed the ability to walk straight out of our hotel into the gardens, which was nicely furnished with comfortable chairs. The room was also nicely decorated, newly remodeled, with a memory foam bed. I do wish the toilet paper wasn't single ply and the a/c unit was a bit quieter. Overall, our stay was wonderful.
See what your view would be outside your room! We love visiting this area and we have stayed here a few times over the years between the condos and the Inn rooms. The owner is very friendly which is important to us as so many places you go to stay they do not care you are just another reservation that comes through another faceless name in a system. Here he remembered us from 2 years ago as we were not able to make it anywhere last year. I am touched that a place can still give personal attention.
