Great place to stay. Staff is very accommodating. We showed up with an unexpected 3rd person and they went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable and welcome. Brownstone trail is right next to the hotel and 5 minute walk to downtown Bayfield. There is plenty of hot water. Be sure to splurge on the lakeview room, it is worth it

great view of the bay. room was decent - nothing fancy; love that they have little chairs out front and on the grass for watching the bay. motel is close enough to town to walk. great owners. love that they check in with you via text messaging. love that you can actually check in using text messaging. we will be returning and advertising for this place.

Our stay at Seagull Bay was beyond expectations! Very easy text check-in/check-out during COVID. The room was perfect for our needs (small, but clean and comfortable), and the deck overlooking the lake was outstanding. We were so happy to be able to bring our dog. Owner Isaac felt like an old friend as he chatted with us about the area- a definite highlight to this great stay.

We were texted the details of the check in on the day of arrival, then greeted by the owner and he chatted with us for a bit, he gave us great recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The view were spectacular from the windows and they had seating out in the grass to watch the water and the boats. Everything was perfect. Will definitely be going back.

It’s a beautiful place to stay. Few things, that I loved about this place. It’s a locally owned business and they are doing great job. There is personal touch to everything in this place. Like the guy who picks up garbage is likely the owner of the hotel. Lady who cleans up rooms is likely lives somewhere close. I live these things about hotels. Because, they care genuinely to go extra miles to make sure are retiring customer. The place is right by the lake. There is trail that connects from this motel to the lake.nWe had some issue with the TV remote. We called their number but it was late at night. To my surprise a lady picked up. She couldn’t sort out the issue so she handed the phone to her husband. He asked me to carry out few steps to resolve the issue. It didn’t work. So I let them get off the phone. Later I sorted out the issue myself. But to my surprise a gentle man asked me about the remote in the morning. It was a good gesture of being concerned.nThe rooms opens to a lake view. It’s totally worth it. I have out a picture of night from balcony.nIt’s about 2 minutes drive to the cruise. We booked the cruise o line so just parked the car in the parking lot and just walked to the boat.nnBig thumbs up to seagull motel.
