While we appreciated how nice the owners were to us, the accommodations were lacking. The toilet didn’t flush. We had to manually manage that...the bed was terribly uncomfortable. It sagged in the center. There was sand all over the sofa, seat, and ottoman upon our arrival. While coffee was provided in the room, there was NO creamer (nondairy or other). We had to physically leave our room to get it each morning! They do not offer second servings of food/drink at breakfast. My husband cannot eat meat but he did not receive a reasonable portion of the egg casserole at breakfast to compensate. I thought the portions were small and the bacon was over cooked. The following day, we had to check out early, we didn’t even get offered a “to go” biscuit! But I paid for breakfast regardless. They didn’t even offer a discount for the most embarrassing toilet malfunction! Plus, our refrigerator hadn’t been defrosted, so it wouldn’t keep anything cold. Oh! Before I forget...the window AC was so loud, you couldn’t sleep with it on high! Beware! This place is NOT all that! It’s very run down and dated....
We had a great 2 nights at Lucy's Place. We were there with our 11 month old. The house is beautiful and quiet. Our room (Solarium) had a wonderful view of the garden and lake as advertised. Breakfast was delicious each morning and the owners were wonderful. I would highly recommend!
Great place good breakfast a little hard to get to if you're on a motorcycle.
Beautiful B&B. Our room was comfy and clean, amenities were nice and the grounds were pristine. Bruce and Barb were excellent hosts. The breakfasts were tasty and filling. I would stay here again! Nice value compared to other places in the area.
Best B&B in Bayfield. Book early it fills up quickly.
