Oak Grove Resort

Great place!! The staff goes above and beyond for any issues you may have. Quiet, relaxing time. The owners Gary and Jane are very nice helpful people. Highly recommend it for a family weekend!

My friend Miles Jacobson been coming to the this beautiful resort for long time. Very clean cabin and great fishing. I had a great time and relaxing!

I do not recommend this resort or lack there of! This year was our first year for a seasonal spot. We have been coming up and staying for a week at a time and renting a cabin from the resort for the past several years. In the past everything was great, however things went downhill very fast! Once we contacted Jane and Gary (resort owners) about a seasonal spot to park our new camper on they told us it would be $2400 a year. We paid our fee immediately and as soon as they called and told us we could drop off our camper we did. They offered a service to get it moved onto the site and placed on blocks to keep it level. We paid for this as well and they made several attempts to get the job done but were never successful. I had to complete the job myself and when we confronted them about it they wanted to kick us out of the resort because they said they were doing us a favor. Actually they were doing a service that was never completed so that’s different. We looked passed thus and moved forward. One night we received a phone call at 9:15pm from Gary letting me know my boat had been involved in a fire that took place on their docks. He told me it happened that morning between 3-5am and he was doing me a courtesy by calling me and letting me know. I showed up the next day to find out the boat fire took place 2 days earlier and no one reported it to the DNR, police, or fire department. I asked Gary for insurance information for all parties involved as that’s what my insurance company wanted. He refused to give me any info or even a phone number for the other parties involved. I did call the Barron county sheriff’s office and requested to have a officer stop out. He did a report and I got the information needed. I was called a (POS) to my face by Gary because I told him I was pulling my camper and boat out immediately. I decided to leave for a bit and when I returned I found a note on my camper door that said my neighbors shut my water off because it was spraying all over. It was dark so I just let things be till I could check it out in the morning. Turns out someone cut my water line how convenient right! Thankfully I have friends who live in town and I could get myself cleaned up there. This was a spot for my family to escape to and make lots of memories for a lifetime. It was a nightmare from the beginning. I do not recommend this place for any reason. The owners Gary and Jane are very rude and they will lie about everything and anything. Please let me be the example as to why you choose another resort, don’t make the same mistake I did. They would receive 0 stars if that was an option!

Kind of a cheapy place, but the cabin was pretty clean. The pontoon rental was okay for fishing. Employees were nice.

The cabins are a little rustic, but my family of four where very comfortable. The fishing is great!!! Seeing American Eagles pluck fish out of the water twenty feet from our boat was a memory I won't forget.
