Well taken care-of resort. Cabins are clean (think more rustic not posh) and setting on the Chetek lake is very good. Many resorts on this chain of lakes have cabins farther from the lake and/or up a hill, so direct access at ground level from ALL cabins is a big bonus for us. Owners are fantastic, making sure needs are met and quick to help with requests or issues.

We stayed at Sunny Pines Resort from the 4th of July to the 11th of July. As it was the peak is the busy time of year, we got very lucky with finding a last minute opening here at the resort. No clue what we were getting for a cabin and we found it to be incredible!nnCabin 2 was clean, large enough to not be cramped, great bed and was impressed the water heater kept up with the teenage kids all showering all the time!nnWe rented a pontoon as well. It ran great, older but it had tons of room and was fairly good on gas.nnLast thing I will say is the owner was out there the minute I pulled in to check in, greeted me by name like we were old friends, showed me where I could find things. He was super accommodating, nice and friendly. Most owners collect the money and you don’t see them again. This was completely different. Each of my guest got the same experience, he would help my guest find our cabin and they felt the same greatness!nnCabin 2 is off the back side of the resort area, it is on water but more like a small set back of water and we loved it because it was so quiet. I could watch sunset and sunrise at this cabin! All I can say is I have already shared my experience with all my family and friends and highly recommend staying here!!!!!!

Ricks resort let us have a Bomb fire at 12:00nSUNY pines wouldn’t let us have a bomb fire at 9:00nEnd they didn’t let us have a Frend over for the forth of JulynAnd they didn’t let us have a sower every day Because the System for the Dirty waternAnd the cabins Weren’t good for 850$

I wish I could go 0 stars on this review they took our deposit and then canceled 2 days before our trip. Way to ruin our family trip for the fourth of July.
