Shorewood Resort

We are so grateful for Jan and Rick for being so gracious to us when our previous resort we had been staying at for over 20 years (Crimson Hue Resort) cancelled our reservation to take a bigger group reservation instead. These cabins are so modern! We didn't know how bad we had it at our previous resort until we came here! We loved the insulated cabin, large hot water heater, nice windows that open and close from the inside, regular size refrigerator, air conditioning that works well, electric heat and fireplace, large flat screen TV, ceiling fan in the bedroom, and the gorgeous bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. And that is just the cabin! The grounds are beautiful with paved pathways so you don't track rocks and pine needles in your cabin or vehicle. There is also a large deck, fish cleaning house, laundry room, and pavilion with a fireplace. Just an outstanding resort and we highly recommend!

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! The ONLY ultra modern thing in the cabin, was the TV. There was a broken kitchen window with tape holding the glass together. Another broken window in the Living Room that had cardboard in where a pane of glass should've been. The bathtub drain pipe in the basement wasn't connected and the water from the bathtub/shower ran into a 5 gallon pail below the pipe. The Health Dept. will like that one. I'm honest and tell it the way it is, Good or Bad! There were lose floor tiles in the bathroom. The pluses were that the owners were pretty nice. The cabins had A/C at a $40 charge. The TV worked and there was running water. The slip set-up for boats was really nice. There were 3 hooks that attached to the boat, for keeping the boat in place. That IS a great set-up!! Really nice deck to lay out on and overlook the lake. Most of the cabins need serious UPDATING!! Really appreciated that we could have our dogs with us. Probably won't even consider staying there again! UNLESS, there's some SERIOUS IMPROVEMENTS! WITHOUT RAISING the rates for staying there. Needs to be affordable for people with/without families. There really isn't much for kids to do at the resort. Have to walk down the road to the nice beach or to the park for the kids to use any swings, etc., at the park. There is a GREAT dog park within walking distance from the resort. To my son, future daughter-in-law and myself as well as some of the other guests that stayed there, the cabins were overpriced for what we got. Just being honest!! Like it or not!!

Beautiful resort we have been going here for years. The hosts are awesome every Wednesday they do cake and ice cream for all the guest to meet and greet you. I would recommend this resort to my friends and family. And cabins are beautiful .

We absolutely love Shorewood Resort!! Rick and Jan are terrific hosts making sure every cabin and pontoon are in tip top shape ready for to enjoy the minute you arrive! We love our cabin getting the same one every year! Its extremely clean and perfect in every way. The resort is very nice and well kept! The minute we drive in relaxation begins! Let's not forget Wednesday night root beer floats, cakes, and other goodies provided by Rick and Jan along with fun conversation! We highly recommend Shorewood Resort!! We are already looking forward to our September vacation!!

I have been vacationing at Shorewood Resort for the past 15yrs or more...love this place! The cabins are just like home! (Although when on a fishing trip all you need is a bed...lol) The grounds are Immaculate and pontoons kept very clean. Wish I had more time to spend here...Rick and Jan are amazing hard working people and make Shorewood a place you want to come back to :)
