Second Wind Country Inn

There comes a point in your daily life that you forget to slow down... to take joy in the simple things... to take a deep breath that you didn't know you needed to take... That is what Second Wind offers 100 times over.nnMy family, which consists of 2 adults & 2 teenagers: 15 & 17. There is NO TV! It was the greatest thing EVER. We actually spoke to each other, watched the night skies, & played with Mr. Ollie (Oliver) & kitties: Sassy & Sweet Pea. Not to mention the sweet donkey's.nnWe stayed in the Northern Lights loft. It was tastefully decorated with country chic/wilderness ascents. The beds were comfy. Most importantly, the room was clean & no speck of dust/dirt could be found. The bath tub was absolute heaven! It felt like home.nnWe built a campfire outdoors 2 nights. We roasted marshmallows & made brats with the roasting sticks that were provided by Kelly. The fire ring had seating surrounding it for every one & more. Mark hung out with us the first time. The second night, all of the guests, Kelly, & Mark too, were at the fire. We all hung out around the fire & had s'mores. Pretty cool to sit & talk to others in a welcoming, not pretentious environment; no stress.nnKelly puts the H in hostess. She would make maps for us with how long it takes to get there, helped us select things to do, & took us on a river walk with waterfalls. My kids & I slid down one on our butts like a slip & slide; EPIC.nnIn closing, Second Wind was exactly what my family needed. If you haven't had your breath taken away by the beauty of the night sky, been greeted by the sweetest Airedale pup, tried to gain the affections of a sassy cat, or had the opportunity to meet some sweet animals, I highly recommend it. My family will return some time sooner than later. We made memories there that will last a lifetime!

Second Wind Country Inn is the most outstanding bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in! What a great place, the Owens Kelly and Mark were just great they made us feel like a part of there family. The room that we stayed in is amazing- great bed and jacuzzi tub. I would recommend Second Wind Country Inn to my family and friends the location was great too. Kelly and Mark give us great ideas for places we could go visit. Kelly made us great breakfasts. We enjoyed our time with there animals and walking around there land. The place was very clean and quiet.

Cozy! They had nice trails to go on, and a great view to see the farm animals from your room.

The Farmhouse is lovely! Clean and filled with natural light...such a peaceful stay. Mark and Kelly are wonderful hosts - can’t wait to return!

Second Wind is one of the most peaceful places you'll ever stay. The Inn is located on a quiet piece of land in the country, even though it's just a few minutes away from town.nnThe Innkeepers, Mark and Kelly, are amazing hosts! We felt so welcomed and really, really enjoyed getting to know them. They have great stories to tell! They even gave us recommendations for local places to check out, including a walk IN the river where the water is no more than a foot high. Favorite experience of our trip. Ask them about it next time you stay!nnThe homemade breakfasts are amazing, and the entire atmosphere of the Inn is peaceful and relaxing. Rooms are impeccably clean and cozy, and the large windows let you take in the view of the land. We didn't want to leave! Can't wait to come back!
