Accommodations were awesome!! The owners were super accommodating, friendly and fun. We were blessed to have booked the 7 course tasting dinner during our stay and were treated like royalty!! Every course was it's own adventure....in presentation on the plate by Chef Juvgenija and for our palette with the fresh top end ingredients but also with its service and description by Mara. You could see, feel, and hear the passion of both of the owners during our special dinner. Loved every minute of our experience here -we will definitely return and will bring everyone we can. A must see, stay and taste location. They are also right on a VAST snowmobile trail so we will be returning to stay for a warm, friendly inviting location this winter!!
This was absolutely one of the best meals we have ever had. The chef has an amazing way of condensing flavor into its most potent and delectable form. The owner was extremely nice and everyone took the time to talk to us and get to know us. If you are coming to Woodstock or the surrounding towns, you MUST experience this once in a lifetime meal!
We had the 7 course wine paired menu. The food was phenomenal and the wine was well matched. My favorite course was the lobster and caviar with a burnt onion ash. The chef is Russian and quite talented and came to the tables following the meal. The owner personally served all the tables and described the dishes and wine pairings. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. They even prepared my husband's dishes gluten free. I was also really impressed with the social distancing measures. There were only 5 couples in the restaurant all wearing masks while not eating. The tables were placed further than 6ft, and windows were open. True fine dining experience and a must do if you are in the area.
Okay I'm going to be doing voice text so please forgive if there's some screwy words in there! First off the line in the advertisement says a restaurant with rooms. That's a perfect description. The inn itself I would rate at three and a half Stars.it's a nice property there's a nice river that runs through the back don't ask me to pronounce it! There's nice chairs around the area so you can just sit and relax. You're probably about four or five miles or so out of town so you can drive in park and do a little shopping. Now under the important part, the food. We've eaten here a couple of times before.we happen to be beyond foodies we are in the food industry and are very big fans of what I would call gourmand type food. This place does not disappoint! We've been to some of the finest restaurants along the east coast of the US as well as out in the Vegas area. The tasting meals here are easily among the best we have ever had anywhere in our entire lives! Chef Evgennia, please forgive the bad spelling as I do not have the menu with me! She has worked in Michelin star restaurants and it shows! Just absolutely phenomenal food. I do not want to include it in what they refer to as molecular gastronomy, this is not the same. It's food that's prepared by an absolute genius. As I said I don't have the menu with me I'll have to put that on another site when I get home I'm at work right now. I will touch on the final course of the seven course tasting. That was the wagyu. I've had US varieties, I've not had the Japanese version.it was simply the most incredible piece of tenderloin I've ever had in my life. Just absolutely melting your mouth. She first did a very quick sear, and it was cooked sous vide style for about an hour and a half. This is a process that allows you to very slowly cook a good quality piece of meat and just have it come out amazing! no I will tell you the price for a meal such as this this was a seven course tasting this time, is not for the faint of heart. If you pair each course with a glass of wine with two people you can easily be over $300. some people reading this obviously will now have to go and change their underwear. That's a joke for those who are rather slow! There is an expression that quality does not come cheap and that is certainly true in this consideration. Some people like fast fancy cars, high-end stereos etc. For us we like to spend on truly gourmet food. This place definitely meets that description and more. Feel free to stop in and say hi to evgenia & Mura. They will take very good care of you, trust me!
The host, Mara?, did say welcome, but her attitude was not welcoming.nnI wish there was a way to describe her reaction, disappointment to say the least, when my pregnant friend declined her offer to get a drink from the “bar”. This is the first time I met someone who said “Ah” turning her attention somewhere else after learning that someone is expecting.nnMy order at breakfast was wrong. Why bother writing it down? It felt like she ran out of options and just kept bringing out whatever was left.nnThe ceiling in our room was really low, and with a sharp corner in the bathroom. Even though I’m taller than my friend, she was the one who kept bumping into them, hurting her head.nnWe really liked our experience at the mountain, but this inn, and the host, is a laughable memory. Thank you.
