The Chase House Inn

We want to share our delightful experience of the Chase House Inn. This beautiful combination of a restored homestead of historical interest and up to date amenities made for a perfect spot for relaxing, hiking, leaf peeping or just taking in the beauty of the area. Settled in, close to the banks of the Connecticut River, restaurants and shopping are close by. Mt Ascutney is also nearby, so this seems a perfect spot to stay and enjoy the winter. We had a great stay at this beautiful inn on a picture perfect fall day. The owner was friendly and accommodating and the room was clean, spacious and inviting. If we come back to the region, we will be staying here again.

My best friend from out of town has been a guest twice now and I have spent time with her at the Inn. I drive past the Inn almost daily on my way to work. For a couple of years, I was saddened to see the Inn sitting empty and uncared for. Then a few years ago, I saw that someone had bought it and was restoring its beauty again. However, at the time I didn’t see a sign for the Inn so I thought maybe the new owner was turning it into their home. Recently, the sign appeared and I told my friend who was coming up for a visit.nnI was right... the new owner turned The Chase House Inn into a warm, welcoming home away from home for travelers to the region. Spending time there with my best friend, I could see the passion the Owner has for restoring and maintaining this stunning property. The minute you walk through the front door, you feel warm and welcomed. The rooms are large yet cozy! The Great Room with the gorgeous floor to ceiling stone fire place is a warm inviting space to curl up with a book or warm up after a day outdoors.nnThe breakfast room is light filled with beautiful views of the garden, part of the orchard, woods and stone patio. What a place to enjoy coffee and breakfast!nnWhether you are local or coming to the region for a visit, I highly recommend this beautiful, clean, comfortable Inn. I know I will be telling all my friends!
