Only spent one night, but we can't wait to go back! The property is beautiful and the rooms were stunning. Andy, our host, was so gracious and accommodating: we felt very pampered and safe during this pandemic.nBest part of the visit was evening around the firepit with marshmallows provided!

This place is absolutely stunning. With a magnificent view of a lake and foggy Vermont mountains right outside your window, I would certainly come back in a heartbeat. Andy was wonderful, sharing about the historic mansion and things to do in the area that was curated to us. We stayed for a night and once Andy discovered that we were just married a few days ago, he offered us a discounted stay in his Art Deco demi-suite. Absolutely beautiful land and a building full of charm.nThey are very cautious and precise about guidelines and the safety of staff and guests. They require you fill out a form upon arriving and take your temperature before beginning your stay. Masks are required everywhere outside your room and there are other precautions to maintaining a safe environment for all. Breakfast was served outside (we did not complain as the weather was warm and the view was gorgeous) and masks are preferred whenever the waiter is near your table or waiting upon you.nWe hope to return soon!

Absolute Hidden gem.nFirst off let me start by saying the owner Andy/Anthony (but never Tony) was as pleasant as they come. Hospitality must run through this mans bloodline. Every moment you need something he is there. He is there to wish you a goodnight and waiting for you as you awaken to give you the weather update and serve breakfast. Andy does everything in his power to give you the absolute best unique experience. Did I mention the guy is a workhorse?! For 3 days straight this guy doesn’t rest! My fiancé and I could appreciate the work ethic living such fast pastes lives. Kudos AndynThe mansion itself seems to be going through some renovations but that doesn’t take away from its natural beauty. On top a hill with nobody around, this is the place you want to be to unplug and unwind. Walking distance to lakes and some easier trails as well. The views from the mansion are simple yet beautiful and again, the bar for relaxation.nThe people staying at the hotel all want the same thing which makes for joyful company. Wide range of age groups came and went while we were there, everyone offering something unique to the Inn experience. Considering the pandemic, we didn’t get to experience more of the inns indoor amenities but there seems very few reasons why you would not want to be outside most of the day in this area.nWe will most certainly be returning here for a getaway. Thanks again Andy

We booked one night a week prior and didn't really expect much. As soon as we arrived we both noticed how Beautiful the place was and how there was a lot of privacy in the area. The rooms are amazing because everything is original and it doesn't have that new furnished feel to it, It's like going back in time. Also would like to note that Andy is the most kindhearted person I've ever met, and I've met thousands. He will go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and enjoy your stay. He and his wife made us go bags with snacks in it because we discussed how I had a long drive home. And after a few hours of being there the first night we asked if there was a possibility to stay a second night? He said yes and gave us a discounted rate for already being there. WOW! Overall we can't wait to go back again!n5 Stars!

My husband Dan and I had a wonderful weekend stay in at the Mansion. We love historical places. Andrew greeted us upon arrival and asked us if we wanted to upgrade to the Theodore Roosevelt Room, which we did. He explained that 3 presidents had stayed at the mansion, and we had access to the library. No TV's in the room, just lots of books, games, fireplace and beauty. We had breakfast every morning on the patio, with the beautiful views of mountains and the lake and bonfires at night in under the bright stars watching the fireflies. Trails ran right up to the back of the house for hiking and there is so much to see and do close by if you love nature, hiking and history. Andrew was the best host and attentive to our every need, bringing us breakfast every morning and making us cocktails on the patio after a long day. He brought us supplies for roasting marshmallows by the fire. We loved the small intimate feel and got to chat with the other guest at night. We definitely will be back.
