Barbara, the wonderful proprietor, has hosted us many times. This summer we had a family celebration at the B&B with about 18 of us staying. She never fails to make us welcome, amuse us, and satisfy us with a great breakfast in her charming, historic home.

I would highly recommend Bailey's Mills Bed & Breakfast. My husband and I enjoyed three nights there in July while visiting with family in Reading, Vermont. The 200+ year old house is steeped in local history. Because we were visiting with family, we didn't spend as much time at the B&B as we would have liked, but John's Room, was very comfortable. There are also two common rooms, the library and the parlor, that were decorated with period furniture. Each morning we enjoyed a full and delightful breakfast on the sun room. We were welcomed to the dining room with a table full of fruit, yogurt, jams and bread. Then Barbara, our hostess, offered us made-to-order omelets, waffles, muffins, etc. We would definitely go back there and spend some time exploring the beautiful grounds. Free secure Wi-Fi is available along with a tv in the parlor. Barbara is a most gracious hostess who filled us in on the history of the house and suggested places for us to visit during our stay.

(I posted this review on yelp too)nWe stayed for a full week in mid-september, before the foliage tours began. The old farmhouse is huge, with warmly decorated rooms (all with their own baths) - we had the large suite on the second floor, with a couch in the bedroom, a full sunroom/porch attached, and a dressing room with shelves and an armoire attached to the large bathroom. There are magazines, books, local info brochures, and board games throughout the downstairs. We could be as private or as social as we wanted.nnBarbara was such a gracious host, and cooked such wonderful omelets and pancakes for breakfast! Fresh eggs from a nearby farm, veggies from the garden, and Vermont maple syrup - delicious. The addition of fruit, yogurt, and various breads and jams filled us up so much that we skipped lunch just about every day. Barbara was also able to put us in touch with some local historians (we were in VT/NH doing some research.)nnBailey's Mills was a welcome home base for us for our week - a friendly host, a lovely home, beautiful surroundings. The B&B is off of VT Route 106, which has easy access to most of the tourist towns in the area. Highly recommended!
