The package price included a 3 course meal for 2 and a couples massage. The meal and service at the dinner was great and the spa facilities are wonderful. The architecture of the castle is old time amazing but the bathroom sin in room 12 spits at you and fills up with the water running. It wouldn't hurt to have maintenance empty the trap more than biannually. The tile grout in the shower was very dirty, too. If the package didn't include the dinner and spa, I would skip it.
Really special place, my wife and I enjoyed our 5th anniversary recently here. We were able to unplug, relax, spend time together step back in time, and uninterrupted romantic atmosphere. Beautiful gardens, salted pool I was amazed at the details of the build, the choice of building materials, the hand carved wood features, the fact of such things added in hills of Vermont in 1904, electricity, elevators, radiator heat, indoor plumbing. The staff was wonderful!nLet's not forget the 4 star restaurant, the food and service was amazing!
Stay in the castle, not the hotel down the hill. The heated out door pool and hot tub in winter is my favorite thing in the world. The spa is super classy and the breakfast is amazing. We'll be back.

In a beautiful area! Staff were great and had a few pamphlets ready for us on where to go and eat/drink which was very nice.nnThey also allow dogs and put us in a corner room near the exit to make it easier on us!nnThe walls are pretty thin and we could hear the people across the hall which would be my only complain. Everything else was great!
