We were able to enjoy some beautiful mild fall weather while staying at the Engel House. The accommodations were perfect. Everything was super clean and cozy. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms have their own little fireplace. There is plenty of space in the sitting rooms to spread out, as well as the lovely porch. The host family is so friendly and welcoming and they are super conscious of safety during these pandemic times. The dining room provides plenty of choices for breakfast without contact. I almost selfishly don't want anyone else to know about this wonderful inn, but if you have an opportunity to visit this area, you will not regret staying here!
Absolutely lovely; and I don't have to exaggerate in the slightest. The hosts are kind and helpful, offering their hospitality but never once being overbearing or invading your residence. I have gone back 3 times in the past 3 years and intend to return. I could not recommend this place more. Extremely comfortable lodging too, and everything is picturesque. they've really created the most wonderful spot.
My wife and I visited for a getaway and it was exactly what we expected. New England charm with big rooms and great charm. The owners gave us great recommendations for the area for dinner and sightseeing. The hospitality was amazing as well. If you love old New England charm this is your spot. We will definitely be back!
Clean and spacious room. The house is well maintained: everything looks like it's done purposefully and carefully. Little details here and there that show good care. From the beginning the owners were friendly and helpful and maintained a good balance between being there if you needed them but giving you privacy and space. I appreciated the food and snacks that were always available. It's too bad I will not need to stay here for more than a couple of times, but I will definitely recommend it to any friends in need.
We had a great weekend at the Engle House Inn in Jacksonville Vermont. A classic Vermont Inn, very clean, safe along with a great breakfast. A lot to explore from Winery right across the street, Wilmington for hiking and cool shops. Visit Naked Brewery and Molly Stark State Park also.
