Warren Lodge

I have been sadly remiss in writing a review for The Warren Lodge, as we found this little gem close to three years ago and have been staying there regularly ever since. We started out booking the motel-style rooms during ski season but then switched over to the condos, as we wanted to bring our small dog with us and pets are not permitted in the inn rooms. We have had an excellent experience staying at The Warren Lodge every time, and the hosts, Dana & Zan, have always been incredibly caring & responsive in making sure we were well-provided for and had everything we needed during our visits. The accommodations are very clean & comfortable, and have all been updated nicely with thoughtful touches throughout perfect for a ski trip, summer getaway, or fall foliage tour. My daughter especially enjoys the outdoor pool & hot tub in the condo complex which are available to the guests staying there, and the grounds behind the main complex are really lovely with firepits, a trail that follows the Mad River, and easy access to the water.nnThe Warren Lodge is just a short ride up the access road to Lincoln Peak of Sugarbush Resort from which you can take a chairlift over to Mt. Ellen. Many excellent hiking & biking trails are close by, in addition to other points of interest, including some fantastic swimming holes along the Mad River. A number of restaurants, markets, & retail stores are located in both Warren & the neighboring town of Waitsfield where you should be able to find everything you need during your stay. We often choose to dine in some nights as all the accommodations we have stayed in have microwaves or stovetops, perfect for reheating pizza from The Blue Stone or leftovers from the family pack we always order from The Mad Taco on our first evening in town.nnThe owners opened their second establishment in Waitsfield, The Mad River Lodge, not too long before the pandemic started and we had the opportunity to take a look at it on our most recent visit just as it was re-opening. They have done a fantastic job with the renovations there as well, and it seems like it would be a great place to stay, especially if you have a larger group as they have two-bedroom units available. All in all, I highly recommend both properties if you are looking to travel to the Mad River Valley!

Absolutely amazing customer service, told the owner we wanted to use the fire pit by the river and he turned the lights on and by the time we got to the pit there was already a fire going for us. Great, clean rooms, great location and amazing service. Highly recommend

Wonderful hidden gem in Warren. I was hiking the Long Trail and Warren Lodge went out of their way to accommodate my needs. It was such a great experience that my one night stay turned into a three night break from the trail. The rooms are tastefully appointed and the backyard has everything you'd want to make your Vermont stay the best, including a rope swing and swimming hole. Will definitely be back if I'm ever this way again.

Best lodge ever. Completely exceeded my expectations. Newly renovated. The owner, Dana, was so warm and welcoming. She went out of her way to bring up a coffee machine and boot dryer up to our room. Great location, as the lodge sits besides the mad river. Dana even joined us for a riverside fire at night, so much fun! Thanks Dana :)

Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Vermont. It’s in a great location close to hiking, Sugarbush, plenty of restaurants, and Lawson’s brewery. The scenery was gorgeous and the place was very clean!
