There are not enough stars to give for this very quaint New England old charm Inn. The owners couldn’t be any nicer than they were. You are treated like family. My personal issues if any don’t even come close to the great Vermont hospitality we received while staying at the Inn. I simply can’t say enough. Take all the not so positive reviews and roll them up to mean you can’t please everyone. Their reviews mean something but when you step back and look at the big picture I’m sure your stay will be enjoyable. Ours was. We will probably look here first the next time we’re in town. We loved our stay at The Inn At Montpelier. Just on the edge of town and a 3 minute walk to restaurants and shops. We missed breakfast however the dining room was very nice. Too bad! We ended up having breakfast at Down Home Kitchen which we really enjoyed - waffles and chicken anyone?! Our room at the Inn was shocking large as was the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.
Average place very close to downtown. Everything is in walking distance.
The room and building were dirty. AC didn’t work in room- had to open window and leave curtains open because room was so hot. Then the lights were on all night in building directly across our room- part of the hotel. Light was shining in our room. We did not sleep a wink and left at 4 am. Terrible!! Don’t waste your money. Room was not cheap either. Check in person was grumpy also not friendly.
Wonderful place to hold a business meeting.
