Hilltop Inn

It's a well lit parking lot, seems police patrolled at times (safe), many workers stay here, perhaps displaced families and other folks during this covid crisis. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel could use an overhaul to modernize the facilities and update the rooms, repair is also needed in some. If you are looking for a quick night's stay of the interstate I would recommend it. Not for a comfortable a bit more accommodating stay/vacation though. It is close to CVMC hospital, walmart, barre, montpelier, gas stations and interstate access though.

Thank The Almighty! Didn't spend the night here ... they didn't have the room they reserved for me... but then they had ... and they didn't...(excuses included, they don't take online reservations anymore, don't have my reservation, don't have a room, rooms for essential workers only, room if I have a state voucher, it is the last room and door is broken, safety hazard and no room even for essential workers, Heather says to concierge that booking is indeed there and I can come up to the front desk and check in, Melissa says Heather is her subordinate and doesn't know what she is talking about ... so on and so forth) reservation concierge called them and they could see my reservation but now the door was broken and for safety reasons they couldn't allow me ... but then someone says, Heather perhaps, they allow people with state(Vermont) vouchers... perhaps billing the state, who knows? But, Melissa, She says she is the boss here ... no, they don't have rooms for anyone and that I'd be a problem if they deny essential workers... but she wanted to know my essential worker credentials!!! I delivered two vehicles, does that make me an essential worker? No nurse or doctor for sure! Hotel nearby accepted BOL from me and booked the room... so much for that... About the property, absolute last resort... I didn't see any rooms but it is run down. Good luck!

Not a real hotel, it's a homeless shelter

Never quiet time. Always hanging around outside smoking pot. Non smoking hotel yet a lot of people smoke pot in rooms. Was told i could do laundry due to being essential. When i went to do laundry couple days later they said they were closed and no exceptions. Rooms were okay for the. Price, fridge and microwave included. Not recommended for extended stays.
