I’m new to the area and am so happy I came across this gem.nnThere are not many remaining ski and bike shops quite like this place so it’s certainly worth checking out.nnRandy and everyone at First Stop are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I’ve had them do a ton of work on my road bike (new derailleur, lines, chain, cassette etc.) and have been continuously impressed by their quality of work. I also recently purchased downhill resort boots from them and went through the most thorough boot fit. I’ve been skiing my entire life and have a racing background and have never received this quality of service. They also have a ton of quality backcountry gear - one of the bigger selections I’ve seen in VT.

I can't begin to thank the staff here enough, they literally are resetting the bar for customer service for every other ski shop. I needed new ski boots badly, and two of the employees, William in particular, spent around two hours working with me trying on boots, and then to get the right boot molded to my feet. Extremely knowledgeable and willing to spend the time to make a deal. It's always easier to shop online, but shops like this make me happy to shop locally and support the community.

It was wonderful working with First Stop Board Barn and Randy and Max. I was in charge of booking for a company/client trip and they were very flexible and willing to work with our group changes (as working with a large group there are constant adjustments and cancellations). They made sure that my group was taken care of and replied promptly to my million of emails! :) I was not able to physically attend the trip, but I got rave reviews from my colleagues how fun and kind they were at the fitting. Bonus points for them delivering rentals and equipment now. That is a game changer for us! It was a pleasure working with them and we will continue to work with them for future trips! Highly recommend!!!!
