Carol and Dennis are very welcoming hosts, and their 100 year old home is spotless. We had a very restful stay, and highly recommend this B & B.
A GREAT place to stay! Carol and Dennis are accommodating gracious hosts. Their home atmosphere is relaxing, the sleeping arrangements and breakfast are superb. Highly recommend for anyone in the Orleans, Newport, northern VT area.
My wife and I visited the farm over Labor Day. It was a fantastic experience. The Poutres treated us like family members as soon as we walked in the door. The view to the East is exceptional, the breakfasts perfect and the hospitality beyond belief. They love the land and their herd. A great place to learn how a family dairy farm should be run. Enjoy!

This is a cozy place to stay with an incredible view. The owners are warm and welcoming, and greet you in the morning with a wonderful (and huge!) breakfast. The maple syrup for the pancakes is their very own homemade stock.nThe rooms are comfortable, the common spaces open and bright, and the shower is hot!nIt's a tiny bit off the beaten path, so make sure you check their directions on their website. Google might send you the back way, which I would not recommend.nIf I find myself heading back up toward the very top of Vermont, I'll stay here again.
