My husband and I recently had our intimate wedding ceremony at The Governors House. It was truly a perfect day. The house is romantic and charming, beautifully restored to it’s original glory. Suzanne is an exceptional Inn keeper. Every detail from flowers to food exceeded our expectations. Words cannot express what a wonderful experience we had. We highly recommend a stay at this B&B whether it’s a romantic getaway or an intimate elopement.

My daughter and her fiance chose the Governor's House for their small, intimate wedding. They couldn't have been happier with their choice and my wife and I feel the same. This marvelous Victorian Inn has it all- location, charm, atmosphere and comfort. Suzanne, the Innkeeper is a delightful person and the consummate host.nnWhether you are planning a wedding or simply a week-end get away you won't do better than the Governor's House in charming Hyde Park, Vermont. Highly recommended!

We had a beautifully intimate ceremony at the Governor’s Inn this past weekend! It was perfect! The inn is wonderful in every way. Our room was great. The Inn Keeper was friendly and helpful and cooked amazing meals for us. The ceremony was everything we hoped for and personalized to us in every way. Highly recommended! We will be back each year to celebrate our anniversary

My husband and I eloped at the Governor’s House in September, and it was an exceptional experience. Every detail was taken care of before we even got there. The house itself was incredible! Every detail was beautiful. The area was quaint and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. Suzanne was the nicest, sweetest, most caring and meticulous inn keeper ever! The breakfast that was served daily was something straight out of a magazine every single day. I cannot stress enough how welcoming and accommodating she was to us. As for the elopement, it was beautiful. We had flowers, full use of the grounds and got to pick where we wanted the ceremony, tons of pictures taken for us by Suzanne and our JP, and a lovely reception dinner that was complete with a cake and a bottle of champagne. We loved it so much we stayed an extra day, and really can’t wait to go back! I HIGHLY recommend staying there if you want to have an elopement, small wedding, or even just an unbelievable getaway in a beautiful house, in a beautiful place, with a wonderful host! I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

We eloped at this beautiful, cozy inn during the fall leaf peeping season and it was absolutely perfect. Suzanne was a wonderful host and made the ceremony exactly what we wanted. It was small, quick, and intimate. We didn't have to plan a thing! The delicious dinner was also the perfect end to a perfect day and breakfast was to die for. We would highly recommend this quaint gem in Hyde Park for any stay! Thank you for helping us make our best memory. :)
