Drawbridge House

We just spent 5 nights at the Drawbridge house, and found the location to be perfect to explore the Champlain Islands. The view of the lake from the front porch and the deck is beautiful. We loved sitting out on the dock, and swimming & kayaking from right there. We also bicycled around the islands from right out the front door. The house was super clean, and the hosts (Cindy & Dan) were so friendly & accommodating, and though of every detail. We stayed in the King room, and the bed was so comfortable, that we had great nights sleep! We strongly recommend staying at the drawbridge house!

We were looking for a staycation in our home state of VT, and came across The Drawbridge House in North Hero. The hosts Cindy & Dan were very friendly and accommodating! The views from the house were amazing. We stayed in the King room which was very nice and comfortable and it included a private bathroom. We sent most of the time on Lake Champlain boating. If you are looking for a great place & town to visit - go to the Drawbridge House. Ray, Dianne & Stephanie

Our extended weekend stay was beyond our expectations. Extremely comfortable and immaculate lodgings.Our hosts Cindi and Dan were most accommodating. The views are breathtaking, we enjoyed fishing, bike riding and hiking. The atmosphere is so relaxing. We managed to get another reservation in September, can't wait to go back.

We loved our Vermont Staycation experience at the sister property, North Land Lodge. We had 9 people: 6 bedrooms were perfect for our group. And we could have managed 12 if we were all couples. The home is still under renovations but all we needed was accessible. We enjoyed the front yard/porch facing the lake. Every morning we took our chairs across the street at road level (grassy areas) and drank our coffee, visited, and played cribbage (lake is across the road) The beach area is shale but still very usable. Bring water shoes though, water access is rocky. We brought our canoe, kayaks, fish poles, floats and everyone had fun in the water somehow. Many areas to drive to fish as well. We used the back yard at night for grilling and singing around the campfire, luckily we are not too far from our own home so we brought a lot of wood. (Our ages were 25-83 so many genres of music were played). Loads of laughs and maybe even a little dancing. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Dishwasher, washer, dryer. Beds and linens fresh clean and comfortable. Just a walk down the road there is the North Hero House Pier Bar, Hero’s Welcome (gift shop, gadgets, candy, pastries, coffee, deli sandwiches), out back water and bike rentals. A short bike or car ride is a local brewery that is tastefully decorated old church building. Weekend farmers markets and more. Cindy and Dan are very accommodating home owners, and have this home and the Drawbridge House available time rent rooms and or/the whole house!

The location is absolutely beautiful. Very quaint. The lodging was impeccably clean,bright and cozy. The hosts are so accommodating!!!! I enjoyed myself so much. It definitely is a must see. I cant wait to go back!!!! And make sure you get to Church St.
