My first time visiting was February 2020. This is the only way to go when skiing Jay's Peak in my opinion. It is just a great all around experience, and very affordable. You can prepare all of your meals at the lodge to avoid high resort meal costs. It's a home away from home feel and you get to interact with other skiers and travelers in the common areas. I am definitely coming back to Jay's Peak and when I do I will be staying at Grandpa Grunts for sure!
Best place to stay, super friendly , Brad is awesome guy very polite very friendly people I DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE , they have a common area for you to make meals a kitchen stove refrigerator , they have pool table , theres a super market / gas station but the super market is fulle sized super market . No need to go pay alot of money for mediocre stay at grandpa grunts and enjoyed a reall good experience.
No place I would rather stay at when going to jay. The true authentic experience. This family owned lodge is bursting with warmth and comfort. Nothing compares to brads breakfast, and if on a date week end, book the room with the waterbed...
Every year in July a large group of bikers descends upon this little bed and breakfast. They are very nice friendly hosts. The laid-back quiet country life is like being at home. We party into the night and they make us a delicious breakfast in the morning. I can't wait to do it again!
