Had a buddy from out of state that needed a place to stay for a couple nights, figured I’d try here because it had the cheapest price around. Well, now I know why it had the cheapest price around. When my buddy went to check in my card got declined and the guy running the place said I needed to come down with the card and my ID so I thought ok fair enough. This is where the fun starts. Right when I walk in, first words out of buddy’s mouth are “I don’t trust you” and he then proceeded to profile my friend and I based on our appearance and age, and demanded a $100 deposit that was never mentioned anywhere for two nights. Times are tough enough right now so I had just enough to cover the advertised price on the website and was NOT prepared for a surprise $100 deposit. Right when I said I couldn’t afford the surprise fee, the owner kept saying something about me and my card being “fake”. It was kind of hard to understand because the English was very poor, but one thing I know is that this guy was as rude as can be out of the gate for no reason, profiled my friend and I, then demanded more money based on that profile. As I went to leave because obviously we weren’t going to deal with this awful establishment, he followed us outside and proceeded to harass my friend and I and take pictures of us and our cars. Worst place around, absolute joke of customer service, would highly recommend not wasting your time and looking elsewhere!

Clean rooms, nice space, great staff! You can tell it’s owner run. He really seems to take pride in his place.

If interested in just a quick and cheap lay your head down, shower quick and go, this would be the place. Small but convenient. Owner very friendly.

My friend Lisa made reservations for 7 of us to stay at the Tibet Inn, in Burlington, VT, but things quickly took a wrong turn. When we first arrived the owner would not let us use the restroom, he told us to go to the corner to use the one at the gas station; we obliged. A little later I walked inside to get some ice. Upon arrival, we were 3 hours early, we knew it was too early to check in, and when my friend went inside just to let him know we had arrived, she saw him kicking out other guests and arguing with them.nnI needed some ice, so I went inside to get some. The place was completely empty and there was no one there. There was a window that had a shade closed down. I looked in both directions, saw no one and proceeded to look for the ice machine. There was a very large laminated sign indicating that “Ice was solely for PAYING CUSTOMERS”... as I met the criteria, I felt okay taking a small amount of ice for my cooler. I only wanted enough to keep my sandwich cold, I didn’t need an entire 10 or 20 pound bag from the gas station. As I was about to take some ice, a man appeared from a room far down the hall and he began *yelling* at me. “YOU NO READ SIGN?? No ice!!” I said, “oh hello sir, yes, I’m staying here tonight, please may I take some ice?” He replies, “NO! YOU GO BUY BAG AT GAS STATION!!” I said, “but sir, I don’t need a lot, can I give you $2? I just need a small amount.” He proceeds to shoo and escort me OUT of the building. I said, “Please stop screaming at me! I just wanted some ice, I’ve paid to stay here, I don’t think I’m asking for too much, you are being extremely unreasonable.” He yelled at me some more so I said the words that caused him to banish me! I said, “Okay, well no worries then, I’ll just be sure to mention how very UN-hospitable you have been in my yelp review!” As soon as he heard the word “Yelp” he lost it and told me I could not stay there. Apparently he’s been very rude to many other guests. I never would imagine anyone from Tibet or Vermont to be so nasty. This man needs to take some classes in HOSPITALITY!! I do NOT recommend staying here. He was so rude and still took my Money. I paid to stay there, use the small pool, bathroom and even take some ice but it never happened!! My friends still stayed the night, lucky for me, my friends’ niece loaned me her couch for the night. I DO NOT recommend anyone stay here, unless you are prepared to be kicked out for any apparent reason depending on this man’s mood!!

This place deserves negative stars, I was thrown out for trying to bring tools into my room so they would get stolen out of my truck. Owner was very aggressive and threatening way out of line. I travel all over and stay in hotels for work by far the worst experience I've ever dealt with. Please boycott this hotel you will regret the way you will be treated if you do something the owner does not like.......nnYou
