High Acres Farm

Solace. Sanctuary. Synergistic.nnTo describe the feeling you get when at staying at High Acres is nearly impossible. It's like putting on your favorite pair of jeans, hugging a great friend, or that first bite of your favorite food.nnNothing compares.nnEvery nook and cranny of the (enormous) house is so thoughtfully and purposefully tended to, and with as much care as is given inside, the outside, is equally as magnificent with it's view of (and access to) Lake Champlain and the spectacular mountains that cradle it.nnWhile the house is big enough for you to have your own space (and your own bathroom!) it's also full of welcoming and inviting spaces to be together and feel enveloped in peace and love.nnJust driving to the property, on the grounds of Shelburne Farms, you're overwhelmed and transported to a time just a bit before now and you truly feel like you're in your own corner of the world. (But with access to sundries & booze just a few minutes away.)nnShould you decide to leave the property (which I had absolutely no interest in doing) the town and surrounding attractions will lend to more experiences.nnBut I was more than happy to just stay put, center, get a metric ton of work accomplished, and enjoy feeling of being both alone, and surrounded at the same time.nnI hope to have the opportunity to visit High Acres again and again and, again.

We stayed at the farm with our family to attend our grand daughter's wedding. The facility made this a special memory.

High Acres Farm in Shelburne Vermont is one of the most magical places. From your long slow and beautiful ascent up the hills to the property you can feel each of your stresses slipping away. The tree lined driveway to the property is the stuff of dreams. The home is super spacious, with each bedroom having its own private bathroom. The sun room is cozy and full of light, a perfect spot to curl up and read any of the personally curated books that line the books shelves throughout the house. Every detail is attended to, from the sound machines in each bedroom to help ensure a deep nights sleep to the art supplies in the wood paneled tv room. The gourmet kitchen is well appointed with every utensil you would need to cook a fabulous meal with. The view, the sunsets, the open dual living rooms with dining room are a magical place to commune with your guests during any season. I cannot recommend High Acres enough!
