Great experience with personable people. I know my husband has bought bikes from Fenwick Island Bike shop, but I don’t normally deal with these things. I stopped in to ask a question on a bike we didn’t buy there, and the employee answered my questions and fixed my problem right away. I see negative reviews on here but that wasn’t my experience. I waited patiently for my turn and the guy focused on me and my needs when it was my turn.

First time using Fenwick Island Bicycle Shop, but I got a flat while riding Coastal Highway and I forgot to bring my spare tube kit with me. They changed it out for me and the pricing is reasonable considering my forgetfulness. The shop has some great road frames in stock and their reduced prices on them seem very enticing for getting a new bike! The gentleman who was working the front of the store when I came in to pick up my wheel was probably one of the nicest, politest individuals I have encountered in a long time. It’s great to see that especially with a few younger guys working there that can learn and mold off of his character. Thanks again, I’ll be sure to return.

I cycled by the FIBS on a Sunday morning (Oct 18) on my ride from Rehoboth Beech DE to Berlin MD en route to see the wild ponies in Assateague National Park as part of a 400 mile self-supported loop starting in Chestertown MD.nnThe most striking attribute of the bike shop is not its well-stocked peg board walls featuring all manner of gear, clothing, and accessories.nnMy wife and I rode up the parking lot to the shop's front door and within 30 seconds, the head mechanic and owner greeted us, Joe Blow pump in hand, ready to provide what we obviously came for...topping off our tires with air. I barely had time to get off my bike before the mechanic was attaching the pump and inflating my tires.nnThe type of customer service is rare in any city by any merchant. At most, I expected to wait around to ask to borrow a pump. Never did I expect to be greeted with pump in hand and not having to do any of the hard work.nnAfter traveling cross country and going into possibly 20 bike shops, I can say that FIBS is the most gracious and hospitable bike shop anywhere in the country.nnMake sure to stop by. It's on the left (traveling South) just before the Delaware Maryland border.

Fenwick Islander Bike Shop is a great place to buy a bike. It was a great buying experience and the follow up was excellent. I highly recommend this bike shop to anyone looking for a bike or anyone needing bike repairs. I was assisted by an employee Chaysun and he was very helpful and knowledgeable through the process.

Jay and his crew do a fantastic job with customer service. In an environment where it’s hard to find bikes and everyone is getting their bike serviced, they take the time to help. If you’re looking for that new road or beach cruiser, or you have a flat tire on the bike you’ve had for years, stop in, say hi, make a friend, and grab your bikes and gear from them if you’re at the OC or DE beaches.
